Do you guys think this movie will be successful like the last one? Because it's gonna use CGI. I'm afraid it won't. Hopefully it will because it's the best show from my childhood. I really want the movie to use the original & 2D animation. The title is horrible too. It should've been simply SpongeBob 2 or The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie 2

I'm not expecting it to be half as "good" as the first one judging by their crappy episodes the last 7 years straight or however long it's been since the last one.

I really can't say seeing as I haven't watched Spongebob since I was around 13 or so, but the fact that they're shifting to CGI is a big red flag, that and the course of it's episodes the past few years.

Maybe after the movie releases, they can let the show die in peace....instead of continuing with the mess of episodes that came out after the first film.

Stephen Hillenberg (who left after the movie) is coming back to work on the movie. Perhaps he'll bring the series back to life, instead of producing episodes about infected, gory splinters.

Unlikely, Spongbob Squarepants is an $8 billion franchise now. That's like expecting to Call of Duty to fail.

*deep sigh*

This show makes me sad, because when I was a child it was fun and I loved it. Now it's gross and creepy, so I won't be watching this.

Ugh, god no. Please tell me this movie wraps up the series. I know it's Nickelodeon's cash cow and all, but it's time to move on.......seriously. Post-movie episodes have been ass. I gave props to The Simpsons wrapping it up.

I heard that the original spongebob movie was supposed to be the finale of the show.

Did the simpsons really go off the air or something? I never heard of that.

Nevermind about that. Turns out it was only Fox threatening to cancel The Simpsons over contract negotiations. Everything is fine now and the show will go on.

I'm guessing it's 120 minutes of Spongebob and Patrick running around and being autistic, but in 3D CGI.

Welll, to be honest, i'm a twenty-something years old, and i still love spongebob, though not as much as i used to, but still watched it occasionally.
Some of you judgemental-piece-of-sh*t will probably laugh at me, but seriously, if you ever lived at my country, you'll understand why i prefer watching spongebob.

Anyway, to be on-topic, looks like it will be a disappointment. Just can't see how Spongebob world turned into 3d and keep it in the same spirit as the original one. But i'll see how this plays out.

Please, dear Arceus, let this movie end the series. It's gone on long enough. Longer than it should've, I should say.

Spongebob was the coolest show ever! Before the first movie came out. They need to end the show while it still has some dignity left. Never mind a sequel.

Wow... the humor in that movie already looks 3x better than the series the last few years.

Might actually give it a shot now.

Still not okay with the stupid CGI though.

This actually looks ten times better than i thought it was going to be. I say they end the show with a bang, with this movie.

Thank you. When they started watching a movie I heard on a Spongebob series, it was good.
