We only have 5 stars.

That's not enough to give a reflection of a persons true positive standing around here. Anyone can make it to 5 stars and there's hardly a real difference between a member with a 5 star rating and one with 4.

If it's 10 stars then we can see a clear difference between positive members and negative members because we can be more detailed in our rating. It might be better to have .5 stars as well.

In all honesty, the star system will never give a reflection of a 'persons true positive standing' because members vote based on whether they like the person or not, not whether the person is a high contributor and great member - For example, you may see a moderator with only 1 star, now thats not because they can't do their job or because they are a bad contributor but it could be because members who have been warned/banned hold a grudge on the moderator for the warning/ban.

Having 10 stars isn't going to clear anything up, or make the system any better.

Why do you want to know everything about someone? You've been requesting the most oddest stuff the past few days, mainly to get a better understanding of people's past and behaviour.

A star rating is not knowing 'everything' about someone. I didn't request their address, phone number and bank account.

I'm trying to help the forums by putting up ideas. You don't have to like them.

@gtakid
Why have the 5 stars at all if they're not useful in anyway?

Because it's a default IPB feature and we can't be arsed to remove it.

We're either going to have 5 stars or no stars.
Jonny- you care far too much what other people on this forum think of you apparently.
