One thing that didn't make my initial list, is going "off the grid". Complete and utter self sustainability. Find a nice chunk of land(few acres or so), in a beautiful area, able to build on and grow vegetation. Build a decent sized livable cabin equipped with solar panels, a wind turbine or two, a generator, a water cistern system and basically anything required to live like this. So I'd have my cabin I'd live in then hopefully for my "job", have a few more little cabins that I could be able to rent out and make some income as well as living off the land.

Obviously, the goal here is to build it good, but build it cheap. I know very little about living off the grid, so there would be a huge learning curve, but I'm willing to learn any and everything in regards to this if there is even a slight possibility that it becomes a reality. It would require meeting people with experience and knowledge and plenty of manual labor to hold down the cost.

Just something I felt like sharing and have been thinking about lately. If anybody knows any tips about living off the grid or just wants to chat about it in general feel free to message me. Now that I think more about it, this would definitely make my top 10.

  1. Earn a career that interests me and eventually brings in more than a $70k annual salary.
  2. Own an Audi S5 or S6 at some point in my life.
  3. Go on a long trip from New York to San Francisco, then from there to the 17-Mile-Drive near Monterey and then down to Los Angeles via Highway 1/ the Pacific Coast Highway.
  4. Visit Europe: see the Nürburgring, the French Riviera and Venice, Italy (even though I've heard that it smells really bad down there).
  5. Drive on most of my country's scenic byways whilst recording the journeys via gopro.
  6. Own a nice house in Stone Oak with lots of windows and views.
  7. Learn to cook professionally

I'll edit in some more later.

Good solid list, I especially like numbers 3,5,8 and 9. #5 is good idea, record the drive with a gopro. I might want to do that someday.

(In order)

1. Visit Italy.

I love the architecture, atmosphere, and overall sights of Italy. It's a beautiful place and I hope to go see it one day.

2. (This is kind of turning into a visit places comment, sorry) Visit New England. My mother always wanted to go there and it's a really nice place.

3. Live old. I know this sounds unusual to some people, but I want to live long enough so that I see how life will be many years from now, also I'm a huge fan of Science Fiction and it would be very interesting to see life, say 60 years from now.

4. Go on a roadtrip across the U.S. Self Explanatory.

5. Not have to deal with my self-confidence getting in the way occasionally.

6. Achieve all of my other life goals that didn't make it to this list

7. Visit as many countries as possible.

I really don't have a top 10 things, just these things that I really wanted to emphasize for this thread.
