I think they should. This type of game would do well with K&M controls, and would bring the game to a bigger market. R* would be able to give it better graphics, better FPS, and truly bring the game alive.

Wow....votes no. Um....why? Whats wrong with making it avaible on more platforms? I mean, for one, the NDS and PSP versions wont be able to get the social club exclusive missions anymore, being that NDS and PSP internet no longer works. And i dont like the touch gamepad controls, they always feel unresponsive.

Yep. BTW i dont mean make an entire new game. I dont want Chinatown Wars in 3D, i just want Chinatown Wars on PC, optimized for K&M. Perhaps give us the option to choose between DS or PSP graphics.

I was hoping someone would do a CW mod in a GTAIV PC game. All missions included too.

Why not just emulate it?

Why not just emulate it?

Because emulation doesnt always work.

PPSSPP does a great job at emulating (especially Chinatown Wars) you can do stuff like play with controller or keyboard, change graphical settings (add anti-aliasing and such), and customize it as to how you want, it's close enough to having it on PC.

That's some logic ya got there. Did you even try? It works perfectly on DS and PSP emulators. If you have a gaming PC, it obviously wouldn't be a problem if it runs on normal low-end PCs too.

I'm a PC gamer and i vote NO. It makes no sense for them to waste their time on this. The game was designed from the ground up to be played on portables. It's not gonna sell at all on PC.

I'd rather have the Vice City Stories and Liberty City Stories though they can also be played on PS2 emulators, native would be way better.

If they release it for PC, then why not PS2?  I got LCS and VCS for PS2 and love these games a lot.  I'd easily buy CTW if it was on PS2 and I'd play it on my PS3, like I play all my PS1 and 2 games on.

don't be an idiot. GTA V Next Gen Release will be the doom of all the previous GTA Games. I bet even you won't see anyone playing GTA V for xbox360 or PS3!

Its very unlikely they will release it for PS2. Maybe PS3 or PS4? Also i thought you couldnt play PS2 games on PS3, or that they play poorly on PS3. And how about also port LCS and VCS to PC?

I can play my PS1 and 2 games perfectly on my PS3.  Granted mine is the original fatboy PS3 from 2008.  Most people you probably hear this from have the PS3 Slim, which isn't backward compatible anymore.  It's just another reason to make money off of it basically.  PS2 is backward compatible to PS1 games and PS3 was originally backward compatible to PS1 and 2 games.  Now PS3 isn't anymore if you have a newer one, and also PS4 isn't backward compatible either.  I am not a big gamer, so I am happy with my PS3 and just use it for the handful of games I own and enjoy, granted, 9 of them are GTA games, III, VC, SA, LCS, VCS (PS2) GTA IV, TLaD, TBoGT, V (PS3)

And no, it doesn't play poorly at all, in fact, it plays BETTER on a PS3 with San Andreas for instance, since that game was a bit too "big" for the original PS2.  No problems at all...And all my games are kept in great shape, too.  No scratches, they don't freeze, no lag time, etc...

To the guy who has a hard on over GTA V, it's not even that good.  I haven't played V in 3 months, nor am I gonna play V anytime soon.  It doesn't have the classic GTA vibe and it's mainly for casual gamers, unlike the PS2 Era GTA games and CTW.

Should R* release this game for PC? NO. It needs lots of changes to be a decent PC game. Would you like to play again in 2D? (please don't come with arguments like 2.5D or 3D). We aren't in '90s anymore! If they are going to release it (which I doubt this), they need to change a lot of features there

The game is fine as it is. Maybe some more missions and a bit better graphics, but no changes to game play. I like the isometric view of the game. Now, do i think it should be a full priced game? Of course not. Maybe somewhere around $10 to $15? I already have played enough HD/ 3D GTA games, i want a change of pace.

No it is not. Do you want a 2D game in 2014? San Andreas is aleardy 10,15$ and it's 3D.  Man, we are in future. If they would release this in 2D (which I doubt this) then no one will play it. If they release it in 3D then all of gamers will start making videos. And I say this again, I doubt that they will release it on PC. It's like a Stories game, but on DS and iOS too

Its art style was one of the purposes for it being isometric. It's just fine as it is, people love it, I love it. Darth, seriously, just try it out.
Don't come with the '90's stuff'. Just finish it and then come back here to rate it.

I voted YES, since never played this game and would be an excellent opportunity to enjoy on the platform that I'm comfortable.

Yup, that is how I am, but not PC, I play PS1/2/3...Since my PS3 works for all games (backward compatible) I'd love this game released on PS2 and then play it on my PS3 like I do everything else.

I recorded this a few days ago, just to show how it is on PPSSPP.

There is a bit of lag here and there, but blame the settings I have set and my computer. :p

You must of forgot the petition to bring V to the PC. They don't have to do it, of course, but it does let them know that people want the game on that platform. It's strickly marketing and it works.

It's a matter of true marketing here, if they smell money, they do it. Basically, exactly what Lexty mentioned above but in a less gentle version. Here, for example, the Stories games and CTW do not smell like money anymore, outdated, therefore, there's no reason for another port. They usually let second party developers work on ports such as mobile ports or even some PC ports (I can see that happening if they decide to finally make the PC versions of LCS&VCS). So yeah, they don't even bother with small titles and even if they do, they do a really messy job.
