Nobody knows. Rockstar may not have even planned it yet.

I'd love it, especially hopping back to a Mafia theme. But I'm seeing it more going to Vice City, which I'm "meh" on. I love Vice City and all, but we just had a city on a palmtree infested beachy area.

Personally, I'd like to see Carcer City, but having it set in LV and adding to it current V map so that we can travel between the cities... it wouldn't be bad at all. Though, with LV being the main focus, then either heist or mafia theme would dominate the story and both of those are done to death in GTAs.

Hope not. Not a bad city, just don't think it will be interesting enough alone in gta.
Bring on Vice City.

Vice City won't be done because everyone expects it and GTA V was sunny and very water sporty. Miami also seems to be the most relevant in the 80s and I'm not sure a modern day game could stand. And I'm not sure they'd go back to that era. Either way, it would have a lot to live up to.

Carcer City won't happen because Watch Dogs just happened and Chicago is a less interesting New York.

Liberty City won't happen because we aren't moving up a universe yet. We probably won't until 4k is standard and we'll have the 2D, 3D, HD, and 4K universes.

San Fierro might happen but it's doubtful because San Francisco, while aesthetically interesting, isn't a place known for anything but gay people. I just don't feel like this one city could stand as a game.

Las Venturas seems to be the most likely choice. Heists would obviously be important. Oceans 11 would be a huge influence. It could take place in the 60s or 70s where the mafia was a big deal. The desert would be a huge thing. Imagine San Andreas' top 3rd of the map expanded into it's own thing but with a better scale.

There was only a small beach in GTA V. It was mostly mountainous terrain and desert. Or am I missing something?

For Rockstar to make Vice City relevant and exciting again and on par with the scale of newer games in the series. They will need to expand beyond Vice City to the Everglades, the Keys, and perhaps part of Cuba or the Bahamas. This will make sense if they go back to the 80s and the cocaine smuggling rush.

If Vice City can't be done because "GTA V was sunny and very water sporty", then Las Venturas can't be done because GTA V had a desert and was based on heists.  Also, wasn't there an audio files leak that suggest the casino in Los Santos will be opening in the DLC?

I'd really like a darker Vice City. When San Andreas came out, I really wanted to know how it aged by 1992. It seems like the 90's was full of people from the 80's trying to keep that old glamor, but everything from grunge to hip hop and the entire culture climate shift changed every major city in some way. There are still rural towns that haven't aged much since the 1950's and will never move forward, but Miami must've been impacted in some way.

I would like to see an extension of San andreas and bring back las venturas & san fierro with more mountains. If not this than maybe a southern version of GTA based off texas, new orleans, & the carolinas.

Nope. I currently live in Las Vegas. I see no R* members lurking around here and no drastic crimes are happening besides domestic disputes and drunk driving. Besides, this city is not relevant at the moment [in terms of crimes] or in a couple of years.

I hope so. I'd love a whole GTA based on a HUGE Las Venturas + tons of detail to the insides of casinos.

I don't see any kind of story potential in a game set in LV. It's a filler city.

Other than Vice City, I could see San Fierro.

Again, no one really knows anything. If you go by clues in the game, the most obvious ones seem to point to Vice City.
