Looks normal to me, cant say I recall any differences to the front of it either. Might have to double check.

 

Edit: Oceanic Rear Door done.

 

Personally, I don't mind it, but I can see why R* changed it on the final model, on a low poly model is just looks a bit ordinary, if they brought back the Oceanic in GTA V they could probably make it work on that.

I wonder why R* made the beta Oceanic's back door like that? Anyways, it's looking tasty.

Indeed, the car is awesome. Who agrees that the Oceanic is the best car in the 3D Universe? :)

 

 

ALSO:

Almost, check out the merced.txd and hlrycar.txd. These are for the Admiral and the Sabre Turbo, which appear to have beta textures on them! And the wrecked Voodoo found around the junkyards, is possibly a dumbed down alpha Voodoo. Might be worth making it VC style.

The Oceanic's looking groovy! What's up with the rear door, though? It looks like some angry angry man took a bat and swung into it. It looks nice, though!

 

The rear door is a work in progress.

As can be best seen in the image below, the door has a Bel-Air like Dip in it, it also is a good shot showing the lower roof.

 

A nice picture from my Person Collection of Beta Shots, Click on it and there is a nice 1800x1200px image of it, be prepared for a 5MB File.

Ahh, I remember that one. Come think of it, it's one of the pictures in the user manual for Vice City!

I think the Taillights are the same but it is clear the Badge and Bobcat logo were swapped around, cant say I've noticed any other differences on it.

Yeah, its just the final Bobcat but it has that Badge thing and the Bobcat Decal swapped around.

Well here is a little more progress, I've done an In Game test for my work on the Oceanic so far, the front is looking great, I got the roof height cut to down to correct size (which involved a bit of math and calculations based on the beta pics) and it would be within millimeters of the proper Beta Height, there is obviously some reflections issues on the new rear door but hopefully I can fix that so I can make a damage model for it and then get the passenger side door made up.

The pic on the right side is an actual Beta Shot of the front. Obviously Rockstar's vehicle looks better but that is due to them Photoshopping the images and smoothing things out.

Moving onto another one of the Vehicles, this one I thought could be knocked out fairly quick. The Greenwood!

 

It always bothered me how TripleAs's version had that mismatched texture between the two taillights when the missing part of the texture is still in the original TXD File, so I remapped the area doing a proper job of it, I am still tinkering slightly with the width though. I've also fixed the BodyMap texture which has a minor change from the Beta to Final and all that is left is shortening the Grill and lowering the Bonnet, Quarter Panels and Headlights to match the Beta front without Indicators under the headlights.

I have done a little mock up on the front end to test for sizing and I am pretty pleased, its really looking the part now.

Yes, I know about that, infact, that is actually my image you posted, its also a model I made a few years back. I don't know where you found that but if it wasn't on something of mine someone has been taking my images and reusing them.

Well its not a whole mod on GTA Garage, I have the Blista Compact, Sabre, Sabre Turbo, Esperanto and Greenwood Uploaded on there, I don't want to upload any of TripleAs's vehicles unless I am sure are going to be part of the final collection, the Freeway, Faggio and Speeder of his will be but I doubt people are going to be rushing to download them.

Now, the Taxi's grill looks like grill from GTA 3 :D  But what have you changed in the Burrito, and Moonbeam?

I'd guess for copyright stuff. After all, the badge on the taxi/squad car in III was very similar to the ford logo.

So, I have gotten sick of waiting for GTA Garage to approve the files I have uploaded so I've gathered all the things I had sitting around and uploaded them in a place where I know they will be online seconds after uploading, I just hope that I zipped up the final versions of the models. The archive contains both regular replace versions of the cars and all the MVL Versions.

This has been discussed before and this mod will not be using the GTA3 Wheels, they were just a place holder, we have the actual Beta Vice City wheels (they were leftover in the files) and will be using them.

 

(Edit: Infact, in one video the Infernus had the same wheels as the Stinger does in the final version of the game)

It doesn't matter in the end what stage the wheels were actually from, but when you consider we could either use the GTA3 Wheels, the Final VC Wheels or these different ones hidden in the Files, of course we will choose the ones we are using as it is something different, which is what Beta Mods are all about, the different things in the games.
