Alright, I got Dxtory to record my GTA IV videos. but I came to a problem, a 10 minute video is 11 f*cking gigabytes, and when I use FormatFactory and all other kinds of programs, the video does get compressed but there's a new problem, the quality is absolutely sh*t no matter how hard I try. What is the best program to compress a video and not lose a tiny bit of the quality?

If you're on Windows, the easiest way is to use Movie Maker. It does a decent job provided you choose the right settings. A favourite of mine is a program called SUPER (http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html) which works more like a converter but it does a good job.

Supers great.

Professionally, 9 times out of ten I use Quicktime Pro 7. Export an mp4. Rule of thumb, based on a multipass on 24 or 30 fps:

720p: (1280x720)
2500 Mbps, Aac audio stereo 192 bps

1080p: (1920x1080)
6500 Mbps, aac audio stereo 192 bps

What codec are you using? I'd recommend using Lagarith Lossless Codec.

Yep, I do indeed use Lagarith Lossless Codec (for recording with Dxtory), but never had luck with compressing.
I'll try using SUPER now, I'll see how good I go.

I'll bump it because...
...Err, how do I exactly use SUPER?

I want to compress my 11.6 GB large .avi video file, what are the best settings for that? (keep in mind that I do have the Lagarith Lossless Codec)

Seeing as 3 days passed, I'll give this a bump.
