Ah... I remember it well. We were mere lads when we first set foot on the virgin soil we now know as Los Santos. How little did we know back then. Sorry attempts at making that money were soon replaced by endless coke runs and driving fast in circles. Did we ever drive those hacks crazy. Our afternoons were spent leisurely, trying to cram jets and tanks into our garages. We needed nourishment but the absence of any realistic protein products drove us all to the 7/11 around the corner. Closed, sadly, due to having been robbed 3889585 times that day.

I personally have fond memories of repeatedly assassinating a zombie lawyer (really tough to kill, the f*cker just kept rising from the grave) and selling his car to LSC for a hefty profit. Soon I reached the coveted rank of 75 and oh did I ever make that rooftop rumble!

Wizards were we, able to make cars appear out of thin air! We did not know from whence they came but we sometimes found little notes in the glove compartment: "Dear Trevor... Signed, Patricia." Brilliant. Then we played some golf.

Those days are gone, sadly. All we seem to do for fun in this day and age is murder one another, under the watchful gaze of our alien friends in their unidentified flying objects, and get high off of found product.

Please, use this space to be nostalgic.

The billionaire days were obviously good, but I had more fun just after the sweep.
The endless free roam war was beginning to get a bit jaded and I enjoyed throwing myself back into various jobs again.

I've said it before, but I remember unlocking the AK and thinking I was now an official baddass , only to get my ass promptly handed to me in the next DM I joined.....

I liked the very first time GTA Online actually worked, where half the time you were more worried about what happened to your car than anything else. No one really knew you could lock the car so every now and then, someone would take your car and it would be really fun to chase it and get it back.

I also miss exploring the world, 'the living, breathing world'. At the start, especially on single player, it was amazing. Now it's just the same old.

I still think that they should be able to write a programme which allows for the world to be developed gradually. ie. building under construction in los santos being completed over a period of months, others being demolished, regeneration - the town in the desert becoming more commercialised as wealth is brought to the area, so the environment we grows as we do - I could go on.

Plus, I miss playing during the day in GTA time, I always seen to be in night time lobby's.

Bit harsh, but then you are Irish, so we are mortal enemies.

I miss the days when the rare cars were actually rare, and couldn't be purchased. Hunting for the clean BF Surfer, the clean Rebel, the Rat-Loader, etc., was just as fun as customizing them and showing them off. I also miss having emergency service vehicles in the garage. That was a fun glitch. Many hours of fun were had with my old Police Riot.

The best days imo were after the gifted money days, but before rooftop was destroyed. A couple of hours work netted a good 600k that could then be used any way yo wanted, not to mention rapid levelling

I was honestly going to quit the game by rank 10 had it not been for the sweep. As a legit player, it was painful to die every other second because of tanks, RPGs, advanced rifles, assault shotguns, and miniguns being everywhere. I didn't know about Passive Mode, so I stuck to staying in the mission/vote screens all the damn time. My personal vehicle was always destroyed as well, so in the off chance that I was in a lobby, I had to steal a car which always resulted in a bounty. I only managed to stay sane through all of that because I figured that once I obtained those weapons for myself, I'll be able to wreak vengance, and I did. I went completely postal on everyone around the time of the first sweep.

Now after the RP revocation, and almost every illegit player has reverted back into their weak selves, it's too much fun killing them when they still have that old mindset of "Freemode is just another deathmatch that never ends! I must kill everything that moves."

You'll find no fond memories from me.

Those players aren't weak. They still have access to every gun, and their health is still at 100%. So nothing really came out of that RP reduction, except for a random change in a players rank number. That's really it.

OT: I miss the days when I could store this beauty...My friends and I had loads of fun with this thing.0_0.jpg

For real? LOL. Then that means that they're either weaker than I initially thought, or I've become a lot better that I would have believed.

Any Scot who considers the Irish mortal enemies is massively overestimating the number of f*cks the Irish give about them.

It's banter - if you don't like it - move on without opening that hole in your face.

Yeah I remember the old days. The days when both my lvl 16 and a while after level 44 characters got deleted.
The second one after R* gave us that 500k...good times
