i think hes the most badass protagonist in GTA

i like the fact that hes not doing bad stuff cause of necessity and that he still has a good side and genuine friendship with some pp.

i also liek that he dosent take any drugs or alcohol.

If you really consider the slowing down pill as a part of the game, then,he sorta takes drugs
All the gta protags have a good side and friendship with people..
Even claude has 8ball as his friend, and claude doesnt talk..

Tommy is arguably the best protagonist from the 3D era, but I'm a Niko fanboy.

Tommy's my favourite, I like the humour from his character. Having Ray Liotta voice him obviously helps matters too.

Sadly,Liotta only cares about the money, but, still,he was bitching about the fact that some of his recorded lines will not get used..

Tommy was a badass no doubt, but I wouldn't call him the best. I think Niko is better just by default. He just has a deeper background. Tommy would be the best if we actually knew about his past.

You can't really consider 8-Ball a friend, I mean you see him in like 2 missions. He's a business partner.

I really liked Tommy Vercetti's emotional side, he's a man who believes in friendship and seeing how Lance Vance turned out to be has hurt him.

Although he killed many men, I consider him as an ingenuous and genuine person.

Yeah, I think Tommy is the best protagonist. I liked Johnny a lot, and Michael is up there too, but Tommy was the f*cking man.

Yeah he was always my favourite Protagonist, he had integrity but was no-nonsense at the same time. His sense of reality and way of doing what he had to do made him really worked well for me. His lines were great too.

Tommy is my 2.nd best protagonist, right next to Vic. I mean look what kind of retarded protags HD era has compare to ones from 3D. Niko is the only one who is memorable, the rest of them are just boring or f*cked up. Trevor got to be the most f*cked up moron in the whole series. Look at 3D protags, they were all awesome. Claude- altough i didn`t like him because of his muteness, heartless, disloyal psychotic and greedy personality but he was quite memorable because he was 1.st protag in the new 3D era. Tommy- total lunatic with great personality. Just perfect protag for GTA game and the kind of guy you`d be lucky to befriend with in real life. Vic- a badass with very good heart. He had a sense of what`s good and what`s wrong but he just had to do it. CJ- memorable and interesting character with full personality, angry, happy, sad and crazy. But friendly and fair. Toni- I liked his loyalty towards Sal very much. The fact that he was honest and moral too. What about the HD era protagonists? To me they arent as half as memorable as 3D era ones were. The only one who made some good impression to me was Niko. Just as a character altough i didn`t like his background (i know very well the true reality of the background he had in a game`s plot so i`ve got pretty good reason not to like it but that`s not important here) So it`s a huge disapointment after 3D era protagonists. And Tommy he is the best, he is the most unforgetable protagonist in the whole GTA series. He is so famous that first thing you think about when you see Ray Liotta on TV is GTA VC! Not Goodfellas movie but GTA VC! When you watch good old Miami Vice on a TV you think of Tommy Vercetti before Don Johnson! When you hear Wang Chung or Jan Hammer on the radio you think of TOMMY VERCETTI right away! Now that`s when you know how good protagonist he was and how much of impression he did on the comunity. It`s year 2014, 12 years since VC came out and Tommy Vercetti is still the No.1 Protagonist ever. I doubt that anyone will still remember Michael, Franklin or Trevor 12 years from now.

Well he is a sort of a psycho, i would say he is a semi-sociopath but with plenty of good sites too. He isn`t total psycho, a heartless f*cked up person with no emotions like Claude was, Tommy is different. He cared about people who were close to him, he cared about loyalty and friendship. He wouldnt backstab anyone. Frienship meant more than money to him. Just notice how shocked he was at the end when Lance backstabbed him, he considered him as a friend.
Tommy`s personality is great. He had no problems to wipe out anyone who f*cked with him but he was very good to people who were fair to him.

This isn`t just a game, you can see that kind of personality every day in the real world too. Just watch the ID chanel sometime and you will see people with exact characteristics as some of GTA protagonists had.

What I've noticed going from GTA III all the way now to GTA V is that the protagonists have gotten a lot more real and a lot more fleshed out. While I think Tommy was great, it annoys me that he's so 2D, he'd never except drinks (or snout!) and never deviates from anything but the story of the game. We only really hear about his past from others and in the final mission when he gets pissed at Sonny. I'd love to see the character again with a bit more personality and a bit more fleshed out.

I like all VC protags. Victor Vance is also very emotional and friendly person, actually he has the biggest heart in the series, even I though that he is a little good for being a GTA protag. Tommy has the same characteristics with Victor but he is way more agressive, ruler and showing strong reactions against other people. Tommy is a natural born leader and like Leo Galante said "He can... you know. Handle the life."

That`s what i liked about Vic. A good hearted man with moral values who can also be a total lunatic. And his look seems the most baddas out of all protags.

Like that prick Martinez said Vic was a good guy in a bad men`s game. You`ve got plenty of guys like Vic in the real world too, who are good hearted characters with moral values but they are forced into bad acts because of the money. But no matter of all that you can still have heart, knowing what`s right and what`s wrong and kill criminals only not the innocent people. Or you deal drugs and rob only until the point where you have the amount of cash necesary for the basic goods for living (health treatment, apartment rent, food etc) and not because of greed and for being a rich man.

That kind of things i liked about Vic so much. Vic is the protag who you need to look into deeper. Otherwise you will just find him "fake moralist" as many of gamers do. Vic wasn`t a shallow figure, he wasn`t heartless psychopath like Claude who cared about cash only. He had good qualities plus all of that he was a raging lunatic with great fighting skills.

Also Vic is the only GTA protag who accept his faults because of the battle against bad people for his wife and himself. He kills lot of people for his family and his woman but he causes his wife's death. He knows and feels his sins, like Niko Bellic does after the Yugoslavian Civil War.

Diaz: "You are a big man, Vic!"
Victor: "No, I am an asshole. I spent all my time running around making morons rich while my family fell apart and the women I wanted died waiting for me to call!"

After Vic kills Marty( Louise's real husband), Vic become a "husband" for Louise. Not official but practically. Before that Vic is Louise's only supporter like a husband when Louise left psyco evil Marty. They loved each other but Victor's criminal life ruined this relationship.

Yeah i guess he was her husband inpractical way not official.

Anyway i laughed like crazy when i 1.st heard this conversation between Vic and Diaz,

Diaz: "You are a hero, Vic!"
Victor: "No, I am an asshole. I spent all my time running around making morons rich while my family fell apart and the women I wanted died waiting for me to call!"

Diaz: "WOMAN? You need some porn? I just got into some crazy donkey porn, you`ll love it. I`ll finish with it by the time you get back"

LOL

In fact, Ricardo Diaz was a porn movies fan, he also mentioned one of El Burro movies in GTA: Vice City in the mission "Supply & Demand" saying "It eats my favorite El Burro movie, it die! What else could I do?" after he shot at his VCR.

In GTAIII, El Burro also produced a donkey porn magazine called "Donkey Does Dallas" (also known as the "Muff and the Mule"). Ironically, "El Burro" means "The Donkey" in Spanish.

I know that it's a little bit off-topic, but it's actually fun.

Yeah heh, i have notested that myself. Altough i find this donkey porn thing a little too sick but it`s still quite funny for GTA game. Have you seen Jerry Martinez in 3.rd mission in VCS watching animal porn too with Candy Suxx in role? R* obviously has a thing for donkeys, pigs and horses lol

Yeah, you're talking about the mission "Conduct Unbecoming". I always considered that cutscene as a tribute to Ilona Staller, a former porn star in Italy. She being famous for having starred in a porn movie with horses in 1986, although she never had sex with them as someone believes.
