Depends what you want it for.

Blade will generally get the fastest laptime on tracks with lots of corners.

It sucks on tracks where you don't brake as much though, since it's top speed is pretty bad.

Here's some advice. Go do some research as you once suggested. Tons of threads on this (yet alone other media), don't need another one. Stats are irrelevant, just like this repeat thread.

Yeeeah, No. Keep your advice to your self, thank you.

Only reason I made this thread is because R* release sh*t load of cars in different categories and their stats are no where to be found, so here's some advice, READ THE TITLE and understand what "up until this point" means

Supers: Zentorno

Sports: Comet

Muscle: Sabre Turbo

Off-road: Sanchez (this class is extremely unfair though)

Sports classic: Monroe

Compact: They all suck except for the Panto

Coupe: F620

SUV: Huntley

Sedan: Schafter, Warrener

Bikes: Depends

Anyone who disagrees should be burnt at the stake.

Supers: Zentorno
Sports: Elegy
Muscle: Blade
Off-Road: Sanchez
Sports Classics: Z-Type
Compacts: Blista or Rhapsody
Coupes: Exemplar or Felon (4 door version)
SUVs: Huntley S
Sedans: Schafter or Fugitive
Bikes: Bati 801 (the 801 RR performs the same as the regular one)

This, exactly this.

This is about the truth however on higher speed tracks you may prefer a massacro over the elegy, I even see some guys very fast in coquettes and sultans on certain tracks. You can always build tracks to suit one car more than others but as a general rule this post is on the money.

I think everybody's in agreement about all classes except for Sports.

Yes, the Elegy sticks to the ground the best. The Carbo has the highest speed and best acceleration. And the Massacro has better acceleration and top speed than the Elegy but is a bit more slidey.

Put it this way:

Elegy--> Entity

Carbo--> Adder

Massacro--> Zentorno

So this is how the sports class is

Tier 1: Elegy+Massacro

Tier 2: Coquette+Banshee+Carbo

Tier 3: The rest

So if you want speed and a car that looks like sex, go for the Massacro. If you want something quite boring to drive and looks okay, go for  the Elegy

Again, this is a REPETITIVE thread. Someone as astute as you should know this. This has been covered COUNTLESS times. Not only here but again on other media outlets.

Their "stats" are featured on the SCLub and in your garage AND in LSC. Where else do you actually need to look? And again, the stats are irrelevant and mostly incorrect.

I understand your thread and it's redundant and irrelevant. Again, do some research.

People can debate about all the cars in the Sports category as much as they like but the Elegy, for all its "ricey" blandness is the absolute king for racing on anything that isn't a long freeway.

I just bought one again for the third time after continually trying to replace it but the sad fact is that it really is the best.

I did a 5-Lap solo race on Cutting Coroners this morning (first lap I made tea hence the overall time) and a 54.257 lap is faster than I've seen almost anything this side of a bike manage.

934200E5-93E3-41B5-8605-557E49F24CE7_zps

I'm 99% certain that no other sports car, no matter how skilled the driver will be able to beat that time solo (no slipstream etc). It's a beast of a car. If you disagree feel free to prove me wrong.

Mine's sexy too, the orange makes it go faster. :)

lol... You might want to be more specific as to what best car there is for each type of race otherwise people are just going to give you opinionated answers for some and you won't know which.

It's like saying what's the best location to buy apartment/garage.  All relative =P

People will give their answers without explanation.

Zentorno best? Best in acceleration sure.  Worst handling out of the top 3 supers also lol.  Speed better than Entity but lower than adder.  So is it best?

Entity could be considered best in handling.

So now were just in a f*ckstorm lol

To be honest that track is horrible for proving anything.  Certain tracks favor certain cars.  But i agree that the Elegy pretty much owns that track.

I think the OP was asking people for their opinions on which car is the best all rounder in it's class.

I doubt that he was asking for the definitive answer which we all know that nobody has. Way too many variables to choose one single car that will be the best in every single race for every single driver. Except the Sanchez, cause we all know off-road class if f*cked up.

I had two or three listed per class, but decided to go with one, per OPs request:

Super: Zentorno
Sports: Massacro
Sports Classics: Z-Type
Muscle: Blade
Coupes: Exemplar
Sedans: Tailgater
Compacts: Blista
SUVs: Huntley S
Off-road: Sanchez
Bikes: Akuma
Vans: Bison
Utility: Sadler

There are different options, but these are top quality racers for most types of races, not putting you at a disadvantage.

Have any "rigorous" stats proven the blade to be king of the muscle class? I've done about half a dozen muscle races since the update and my gauntlet pulled ahead every time.

Fully modded the Baller Sport still beats them both.

No, actually no. You apparently DON'T race. In this order: Huntley, Baller 2, and Radius.
Come into a SUV race full of good/great racers and watch you get left far behind if you pick anything but the top 3 SUVs.

The Huntley edges out the Baller 2 by a slight margin.

The Akuma edges out the Bati on dirt roads, grass, and going up road hills. The Bati edges out the Akuma on everything else, making the Bati the best overall in the Motorcycle class. The Thrust has THE highest top speed of all the land vehicles in the game when popping the wheelie. On long straights like The Commute, Route 68, and Long Haul 2, the Thrust just simply has no equal.

Boom

this website seemed really good...until I looked at the ratings for the sports car section.

also how do they get the figure for handling? because the handling for the comet is better than the carbonizzare and the elegy. the elegy is rated 17th from top in the sports cars.

seems reliable

This is just the math for the cars. of course track, driving style, and skill play larger parts. But that is what it is for what's the best car in each, but again preference style and skill with the car (how long you've driven it so u no how it feels and reacts) are far more important. That's y I quite often beat RH8s in my massacro and ventornos in my entity
