So, who among us prefers a slightly more nuanced form of getting our kills?

Who among us is a master at the art of sticky bomb planting, luring their victims and making a quick getaway?

Spill your secrets (or as much detail as you're willing to go into) and marvel at our ability to draw flys into our magnificent webs..

Deathtrap 1:

Top of a building, access is via one stair case.

Good spot if a bounty is on you given it's got good cover and walls so air attacks are a little more difficult.

Method: sticky bomb at top of stair case.

Remaining four sticky bombs in square formation round first part of roof area.

Might appear that the trap can be negated with use of passive while climbing stairs.. however.. go off radar and parachute off other side while victim climbs stairs and can't see this.  Once on top of building they should be out of passive.  detonate bombs.

If that fails, they should then turn to look at your dot and given there's only one side to the building, you should be in an ideal position to heavy sniper their head off.

I call this the Steaming Carl

Deathtrap on the fly 1

Simple technique.  Place a stick on your car as standard practice. If being pursued, go off radar, get down a tight alley way or a tunnel, park car in middle, place stickies on either side of the car on the ground, move to cover but keep sight on car.

As their car/character nears, detonate the lot..

Pick off survivors..

I call this the Cleveland Brown

Feel free to add to this thread and share ideas on how to have victims sleepwalk to their deaths.

1. Call in your buzzard to the airport, or helipad while being chased.
2. Place sticky on your buzzard.
3. take off in something else.
4. Wait to hear that beep, so they think they have you.

Standard.

Quite funny if you do it with a Cargobob/passenger plane and get more than one person riding in it..

Let it fly half way across the map then press the button... :D

I'm terrible at getting people with stickies but at the same time I'm like Fidel Castro when it comes to avoiding them.

When being grieved i use air strikes. Very expensive but they work 70% of the time all of the time so I'll take my chances. I just love seeing half a lobby of grievers die at once, what a joy! By the way the air strike works best when the asshole in question is on a roof, and you go against the building so he can't shoot you at that angle and when you are closest to him but on ground level you call it in and watch them plus yourself go boom!!

I'm am NOT gonna share my best one, but here is one I frequent, it's a freebie :)

-After you shoot someone in a car, throw a sticky bomb on their passenger door or hood.
(If they spawn too close, You may wanna kill them once more so that they spawn further away)
-Get in your car and drive away.
-open your GPS and mark the spot where the car was
-once you see the enemy blib begin to speed in your direction, hit left on the d-pad
-drive further away
-deliver a hearty laugh

The cherry on top for me is sending a text that says "lol gotchu"

Off the Radar stickie bomb trap on the HPV that has been left in a spot very easy to reach (say near LS Customs).

As an aside my favourite insurance trap:

1. Call Pegasus for Mule

2. Call Mechanic for Adder

3. Open Mule Doors

4. Drive Adder in to Mule

5. Close Mule Doors

6. People drive past and see you seated in the Mule and blow it up, $12,500 insurance charge for doing so.

Similar to one of my favourites, which is to get my Buzzard at the hospital and put a sticky on both the helipads before takeoff.  When I see my pursuer become motionless where the helicopters spawn then the chances are they're in one waiting for it to start up.  Boom!!

Also, the street directly North of LSC in central LS has a ramp that leads up into a car park that overlooks LSC.  If you kill someone from up there, whilst they're selling a car, or other such despicable acts, then they usually end up coming up that ramp to get you, once they figure out you're not just up on the next level.  A sticky bomb at the top of that ramp, just near the corner, is hidden enough for them to not see it.  It works about 90% of the time.  Sometimes they're either not bothered and just leave, or they can't figure out where you are (some people are just dumb).

I've been called a hacker for doing things like this cause they guy "couldn't figure out how I knew he was in the buzzard"

The funny part is Pegasus sends me this little text that notifies me when a sticky fingered goof has stolen my vehicle lol.

Not to mention I see the icon moving on the map -.-

A lot of this really shows that map/radar awareness and even listening can play a huge part in being more effective in game..

amount of times I've plastered a floor with sticky bombs while being chased and seen people just walk right onto them.. >.<

One thing that's plssing me off right now though is the names on the minimap, makes it real hard to figoure out positions..

Can this be turned off?!?!?

Mine was simple enough.

Dumbass parks his car outside ponsonbys.

Dumbass takes his time finding an outfit

I simply push his car with mine a few inches forward. Place the sticky where his car was. Then push the car back.

Hide in bushes.

Waited for at least 8 mins.

Dumbass gets in car.

Y'all know what happened next.

I like putting bombs in the entrance to people's apt garages.

Simple gratification lol.

Yes. It can. Under options where you turn your radar on an off, there is the option to remove the names.

It's cause of people doing this that I park a dummy car outside of the store with a sticky on it, and the hide on the roof of the store, making it look like I'm inside the building. Somebody's gonna drive past looking for an easy kill :p

Then I just sit and wait for that fish who thinks he's a shark to bite, and then blow him up like the fish he is lol.

-Find someone with a bounty on his/her head;
-Make sure they are not in their safehouses;
-Get close to them but not too close for them to notice you through the radar;
-Call Lester, go off radar;
-Get closer and follow them but act suspictious, maintain a distance, use a normal car that can blend in easy(Vapid Stanier is the best car for that);
-Your target will stop sometime, when they do, stick bomb their ride(if their ride is very expensive[Adder, Zentorno,..] you might reconsider the whole ordeal as the premium insurance is more expensive than the bounty itself)
-Drive away and detonate when they go back to their car.
-????
-PROFIT!

I wonder if this would work in aircraft?

Specially if you can fly low enough to ensure there's not enough time for a parachute to open..

OR! or.... You could do what I used to do.

Invite the lobby to your apt.

Dumbasses come.

Gain the trust of said dumbass.

Go to your garage. (10/10 they follow you)

Get in your car.

Wait for the dumbass to get in.

Drive way out towards Paleto Bay.

Along the way, pull over on a dirt path.

Get out, proceed to pop a cap in the dumbasses well, ass.

Quickly hop back in the car and continue on with your daily activities.

Leave the dumbass way out in the boonies, a emotionally broken and confused bitch.

He thought he had a friend.

Caught this on TV once, it was pretty cinematic.  The guy caught on and tried to bail but he didn't make it.  The guy who set the trap jumped off the tracks, having parked on a bridge, with a lot of epic.

i love setting traps with stickys but lately it seem to be buggy, like if i put a sticky i cant get a gun out because it would despawn the sticky.

place sticky, turn back to run to my hiding spot, by the time the target cross the "trap" the sticky have despawned.

im really annoyed by this!
