It makes me sick how badly you guys overreact to spoilers, you guys act like if it was the worst thing to happen to your lives.

It's funny how you guys bash little kids for being immature or adding "bad" colors to their cars., but at the same time complain like little girls.

The irony.

are there cars where a spoiler doesn't help? or is counter productive?

It's pretty funny that roof racks provide the same bonus, at least on the Panto.

Sh*t. I have to rice out my Elegy now. No spoiler on the Elegy looks good.

Actually, f*ck that, I'll rely on my skill and other peoples' lack of it.

it's never counter productive, but some cars don't have a spoiler option so they are now disadvantaged (Exemplar, Gauntlet).  It's a bummer to me that full max is always best for every stat.  It would be cool if there were some tradeoffs involved.

Here's the thread I made about it.  It really is amazing how much they increase the performance of the cars that have spoiler options.

Yep. This is the OG "Spoilers improve traction" thread.

But damn, the Carbonizarre and Comet are significantly more manageable now.

so it doesn't make muscle cars/drifter cars handle weird? since their driving feel is to let the rear slip out a bit.

Good post jimrod.  All I wanted to add is that I agree that if they did the spoiler gives downforce that it also chopped off some top speed.

The only other real complaint I have is that there was no hint that a change had happened.  It's a little callous to have people who have raced since the beginning to suddenly have a change that effects them and no word about it.

I would like some confirmation on this from R* to say the least.

When I put a spoiler on my Voltic it didn't help me win races.
Of course now I have a normal-looking Lotus/Tesla, but still.

I still want the body coloured roof back! :D Problem with the Voltic is that even though it's a great car with great stock acceleration the fact you can't add a turbo means its advantage is soon lost in the Super class when others are fully modded. Great fun car though, just not competitive.

I disagree. The acceleration bursts through corners have allowed me to smoke other cars. On straights it is slightly below the other cars in terms of performance.

Can anyone confirm this with codes/ingame files?

Are you sure it's not a placebo affect?

And you can see the stat bar go up a bit.

Ugh.. Cutting corners....      I think he keeps forgetting that the Sultan is the faster 4 door too...lol

Only now is the RS faster, prior to the spoiler adding grip the Exemplar was much quicker.

I don't give a f*ck if a spoiler makes me automatically take turns.

If you put a GT wing on a Feltzer, you should be ashamed.

Don't why all the spoiler hate. Most of my cars already had the smaller of the spoiler options. My cars irl have always had small spoilers, that's normal for me. Even though I'm old I still remember being 8 and fascinated with Chromed BMX frames. Your taste changes with age, don't hate on someone just because you care at a different stage of your life.

Some people get so obsessed with smooth lines they get an adverse reaction to door handles.. By then its almost a mental condition.

I've been putting spoilers on all my cars and waiting since GTA V came out for this...guess it was worth it! This explains why most of my cars handle so much better now lol :D

Yes, it feels quite odd on the blade, not tried many cars with a spoiler since this change

It's not that I don't believe in the concept, it's just that they aren't stylish.  0 style = 0 hos.

If you want to make a street ride fine but the Feltzer is a bad example to use for that as it based on an CLK AMG model, so the body kit is stock and cant be removed.

If you want to replicate the DTM version the GT spoiler is a must.  Too bad GTA didn't give us the Cabriolet version

Yup, I've gone for the "normal" looking one, first time I've got a sub 55 second lap on Cutting Coroners (well, except on a motorbike), but now I'm tempted to sell a few cars and try an Entity to see how it will do... Managed to resist it so far... :D

Tbh I'm just gutted the female character thread got locked.. Hell knows what the more testosterone fuelled would have made of me using a female character and driving cars with bright pink neon paint jobs... The wife finds it hilarious, specially given the misogyny my character faces and the asswhupping she gives out in reply.. :D. Back on subject though. Just wish there were more ducktail spoilers. I.e ones with minimal aesthetic impact...

Can someone please explain to me why you guys feel you NEED to use spoilers. If you hate them dont use them. The difference is so miniscule this is a joke. Also on a slight off topic rant YOU DONT NEED TURBO on every bleeping car. You can easily do without. Talking to rockstar not you the fourm people.
