Hello,
I'm new to modding and I'm trying to make my first car model but I'm stuck at DOORS!
The thing is they wont open, I asked a friend he said that I need to detach the door but he doesnt know how to do that either :p Is there anyone who can help me with my issue?

Hello,

yes, it's true that you need to detach the doors and other parts. First, select main object and select polygons of doors and click "Detach". If you could tell me program, which you use, I can give you more detail informations if you would like.

Okay,

1.) Click on "Polygon sublevel" button and then click on your model/object.

2.) Use "Selection tools" (Quadr, Separated, Single...) to select part, you want to detach.

3.) Hit the "SELECTED MODE" button [SPACE].

4.) Go to Modify > Submesh > Detach and click anywhere in the viewport.

5.) Done.

Polygon sublevel? Where is that, and do I have to open ipf or dff?

I think that you have to select the button to edit/select the polygons
