well yeah when i drive my sultan in a mission, the difference between 2, 3 and four people on the car is immense, but i've only noticed it in the sultan (probably as its light enough for the added weight to have an effect)...my carbonizarre definitely drives worse in races with the top down, not sure if intentional or not though...or it might just be me :p

I'm just curious. Someone said armor and custom tires also make a difference in handling. Can someone verify this and also if it's noticeable on the stat bar? I'm not home so I can't log on.

Glad to hear that they all add the same amount because I can only abide low-level spoilers.  Anything bigger makes me want to punch my tv.

It wouldn't surprise me given the detail of driving and the physics engine and all that…

Yay Rockstar!

Anyone saying spoilers are ugly and stupid has never driven over 120mph in real life. If this is true then I say ABOUT FRAKKING TIME! And again, to those of you shunning spoilers, I'll be waiting for you at the finish line drinking my Pißwasser.

Cue to all 12yrs old kids putting massive racing spoilers in Pantos, Warreners, Futos, anything that can generate a massive downforce...

Even although they probably have no idea what downforce is, how it works and what it does.

Edit: If they're making mods have realistic affects on performance then they should also make:

 - Custom exhausts increase acceleration since better exhaust system=better engine ventilation which=better acceleration.

 - Custom tires increase acceleration aswell as traction. More grip=better acceleration capabilities.

 - Roll cages increase traction and braking since IRL adding a roll cage to a car will make it's chassis stiffer and allow it to stop on a dime aswell as helping with turning

turning capabilities since a roll cage helps stabilize weight transfer.

...Where the spoilers always so expensive..?

yes

Spoilers where never that much.  Not sure about the Elegy.

But i know 100% that for most of my cars they where always like $1000 -$5000 range.

in single player.

If I buy the gt wing for my massacro, I'm gonna need to get every other mod to even out its look ._.

Should I? Or should I leave it stock

I dunno man.

I've got two characters with 2 garages that are full.  I would have noticed a $15000 GT wing a long time ago.

Hate spoilers. Not going to add them for a very small increase in traction. They just look ridiculously ugly on most of the super/sports cars

And yes, they always costed that much.

Well you don't have to buy the most expensive spoiler apparently.  So if you want a more conservative look go with a lower priced one.  Otherwise do it!  Make it a true racing Aston.

They were also way cheaper in MP.

I'll never have a spoiler for my cars no matter how much traction it adds and I'll never respect anyone having a GT spoiler in his car, tasteless f*cks

Agreed, I hate the way the spoilers look and unless they release some actual lemans style body mods so I can make my Turismo look like an actual race car, it will never get a spoiler.

Well the gt wing won't give you anymore traction than the cheapest one. If your planning on racing it a fair bit I would put the spoiler on. If you don't race that much I'd leave it stock.

I'm not keen on spoilers either. They work great on some cars but can totally ruin others.

I race a fair amount of time.
Hm. I just don't like the body mods on the massacro

Spoiler

Spoiler

That's a very insignificant amount of additional traction. I think I'll keep my cars all purrty and whatnot....

Hasn't been pointed out because the majority of us aren't idiots and unoriginal posters who think they're witty.

It's probably just a marketing thing (making the blue bar go up in LSC) to sell more spoilers.  Is there any definitive proof in the files that spoilers change the actual data?  Funmw2?

yes, I'm a bit cynical.
