Alright GTA forums! Another troubleshooter is here to give you some work! (Me, duh)

I've ran into a problem with my San Andreas game (PC).

Today, when I tried to start up the game, after a long pause from the game, nothing happened.

I pressed the gta_sa.exe in my GTA SA folder, (Little message about color scheme pops up..) My screen then goes black for 2 seconds, but it just shuts down the game again.

I see it's running for 2 seconds in the task manager, but it dissapears again.

Things I've tried:

Deleting "GTA.set".

Updated my graphics card.

Running in compatillity mode.

Running as administrator.

Making sure no mods are installed (ENB is, but it ran fine before this happened).

Searching through the lands of Google.

Installing DirectX9 Jun2010.

Adding an exception in data prevention something.

I suspect my graphics card drivers, as I installed those when it ran fine. I'm now running the new ones, and I think these won't work with SA. (I would REALLY like to keep my current graphics drivers, as I want it up to date)

-Stenmann

EDIT 1: I have ATI graphics card.

Try rolling back to the old drivers. If it plays then it is the new drivers fault.
I had a lap top that updated its drivers (automaticly) and I found to play I had to go back to the old ones.

Any modification of the game may result in problems, not always immediately.
Is your game the Version two DVD or the v3 STEAM download?
If the DVD are you playing with the DVD in the drive?

I'll try the graphics driver solution soon. Although battlefield 4 seems to be asking to update my graphics driver, when I have the old drivers.

I have the DVD version I guess. My first copy of San Andreas got broke, so I got a new version from my dad's friend. (I think this is cracked.. I guess it's kinda legal, when I actually bought my own copy. :/) So, I'm not playing with the CD in.

So Sad. We cannot help you.
The Forum has rules against helping Pirates.
Buy your own 'REAL' game DVD, Legit Download if you don't want to mess with the DVD.
Because you previously owned (and damaged/lost) the DVD has no bearing. You were licensed for that one copy. So, using a stolen (Pirated) copy, as a replacement, doesn't cut it.
