My parents bought me a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix. I'm still learning about cars and I want to get into actual tuning/modding as soon I can.

So far, my only plans with it are to get a matte black paint job and low profile spoiler to replace the stock lip spoiler.

Lowering the suspension to take car of the small amount of understeer it has

But as for actual tuning/modding what should I do with it?

Is there anything I else I can do with it or should I wait until I have enough to get an actual sports car ( and do some real & expensive tuning - a turbo kit is like a 1000$ x_x)

You can tune it of course, but the most aftermarket support your probably going to get is in the back section of Advanced Auto Parts. Never seen many serious modifications for that gen grand prix, so i could be wrong. I'd keep saving and opt for something else to modify.

Besides, unless your running methanol, that turbo needs a intercooler to save for the headaches later on.

Edit: was walking along today thinking about it and i hope it doesn't deter you from keeping it. Each person can make a gem out of anything with their tastes.

If it's not a supercharged 3800, doing anything to it is pointless.

The blown 3800's are pretty mod-happy though.

I'm not sure if it's supercharged. It's generation 7, six cylinder :/

It's not hard to figure out if it's supercharged.  There would be a rather obvious supercharger on top of the motor.

As for the matte black, I think it looks terrible on almost every car.  Several weeks ago while I was in Texas, there was a brand new Jaguar XJ in matte black.  It made the car look spray-painted.

Hm, it's just a regular gp..

It's still in the shop so I won't know if it's supercharged util I get out.

But if I don't land a job soon; it looks I might be giving it back to the dealership anyways.
