GTA EFLC was about 16Gb, i believe GTAIV was close to that size too. Clearly GTAV should be bigger considering bigger map and textures, and also considering today's standards. For comparison to a more recent title, Wolfenstein the New Order is a little over 45Gb if i remember correctly.

Edit: Also keep in mind Max Payne 3 on PC was about 35Gb.

With all that in mind, who dares to guess how big the game will be once installed on your HDD/SSD?

Feel free to vote and type an specific size. I'm going to say 44Gb.

Somewhere between 20 GB and 30 GB, I think Watch Dogs was 22 GB by comparison.

GTA V's cutscenes are all in-engine, from what I know. No ultra high quality pre-rendered stuff. So I'm gonna go with 25-30, definitely. Assuming they decide to compress it nicely and all.

I mean, there's huge open world games out there that are much smaller in size. So I'm pretty sure we won't be looking at some enormous numbers here.

Given what we know about Max Payne 3 and what I've seen of the trailer, very probably 40 to 45 GB.

IIRC it's like 17GB on current consoles, so you throw in some higher bitrate movies/TV shows, a few higher res textures and higher poly models, and maybe some more songs - it shouldn't that much bigger than 20GB. Unless of course they just throw in a bunch of uncompressed audio and video to pad it out, like how most others are doing right now.

Oh man, you just reminded me. The TV shows will be actually watchable now. The quality on 360 is absolute arse. I heard it was better on PS3. But I really hope they're ultra HQ on PC.

Lol at people who actually voted more than 60gb. Not a single chance, at most 40 gb.

There is no way it goes over 35, unless they bundle it with future DLC.

The quality of the TV shows on PS3 is ok at best.

The install size of GTA IV on the PS3 is around 6.5GB when you install the entire game on the HDD. On the other hand, the install size on PC is a little more than 15GB, which is more than twice as much. Max Payne 3 takes up 5.5GB space on the PS3 and 15GB on the Xbox 360, whereas it is about 30GB on the PC platform. If you download GTAV on PSN, it takes up 18GB on the PS3, if I recall correctly. I assume that V will use twice the space on the HDD on PC compared to the PS3, so that would be around 35GB. Which is what Rockstar recommended for the PC version of MP3.

You can't use MP3 as a comparison for V because that game is one long pre rendered cut scene. V uses in engine cut scenes so there goes half the space of MP3 gone.

Toss my hat into the 30-35GB ring. I wouldn't be surprised if it were considerably less.

That won't be too bad. My Max Payne 3 install is 30 GB and I downloaded that in about two hours tops. So another 5 GB shouldn't take longer. On Steam, anyway.

And my internet isn't even that good. The peak is like 3.0 MB/s. Stays at 2.1 or 2.5 most of the time (again, according to Steam).

Taking Max Payne 3's number and how this game would be visually superior on PC, I guess it would be between 30-35 Gigs.

Well Wolfenstein is 43.65GB, but it uses Virtual Texturing, and I doubt RAGE uses this, at least not yet. So I can easly say it will be around 30GB.

IMO more than 30 but less than 45. If you take the space that GTA IV took and apply it to the 30GB that MP3 took with the latest RAGE, I'll say about 40GB.
Waiting for my SSD to arrive so I can free up some space from my main drive.

These are speculations for just the PC version and not NG, right? In that case, my guess is around 40GB.
