Rockstar: "Hey guys. If you have purchased PS3 version and want to upgrade to PS4, simply buy one Megalodon Cash Card and you'll get 10% discount off for the PS4 version. This is for limited period only. HUrry and grab before the promotion expires!"

Why ask a question that no one knows the answer to? It serves no purpose.

Why post pointless answers to a thread that has no purpose? - These forums are for discussions moron.

$59.99 That's what you're gonna pay for when you get the discount

Not everyone runs to their parents for the money - I'm at university and don't spend allot of money on games since I have other priorities in life - I'm also Not from America so I don't know if $60 is allot or considered cheap.
$60 is what video games have been, it's no more than we have been paying for at least a decade now

here in the UK PS4 games cost around £60 which is $100

Not only that.. PS4 is £350 which the equivalent of $590. Remember, PS4 in the US is $399.  :jackthompson:

Europe as a whole has a lot more taxes to pay in general than the United States, don't give in to socialism and the bureaucratic nightmare that it generates. Not to mention the high cost of living among other things... ...sorry about this rant on a games forum... but its true.

I'm 30 minutes from Canada, but I'll pass, the only reason I've been there in a decade has been a show at Caesar's Windsor

+ 13% sales tax, so closer to $80...I hope you're enjoying your universal health care

Look at this way.  They'll sell a few new games this fall, but most people playing the new consoles right now aren't going to run out and buy a game that's a year old. Likewise,

those of us who HAVE been playing the game for months are just about done. If we upgrade to the new console, what incentive do we have to buy the new game?  Hammerhead sharks? From a business standpoint, it makes perfect sense to get the old console veterans into the new console game so they can milk us for game cards and paid DLC.

So I say it's highly likely that they'll offer a discount or some other incentive to upgrade, like free in-game money or something.

$70 is about £38.  That's a good for a new game!  I was in a games shop at the weekend where they were selling Watch Dogs for £50 ($91)!

Uk in general is expensive but this miserable corner of the sh*thole I call home is even more expensive due to North Sea oil, and it'll only get worse once the morons vote for Scottish independance.

I read about the independence thing.

Doesn't voting start September? and then you'll have to use the euro if you do win independence?

Voting is in September.  No one knows what our currency will be.  There's a good chance that we won't be part of the EU and would have to apply for membership so I doubt we'd be using the Euro.  The way the idiot in charge is going we'll be paying for stuff with different sized stones and sheep!

I live in Scotland too and yes everything will rise in price if the clowns vote for independence - me and my family are voting no - What's with letting 16 year olds vote? What the hell do they know about what is best

The average 16 year old is still at the "f**k England" stage so knows nothing.  Imigrants who normally don't qualify to vote are also being allowed to vote which is only going to go one way.  I just hope I can find somewhere to buy before it happens (been renting for nearly 10 years).

But we've got Scottish oil....oh wait, no such thing.

I almost ran out and bought a PS4 in anticipation of the fall.....then I thought, hmmm, that would be stupid considering there might be special bundle deals once the game is released on PS4.

Initially I was thinking I would buy a PS4 just for GTAV but is it true that we have to pay sony an annual fee to play online games (PS4) ?  If so I'll be getting the PC version.

They're already selling the game for 60$ without mentioning any discount.. so there's like a 10% chance we'll get any.

You wanna discount, how about half price?
If it's anything like last year wait till Walmarts Black Friday sale.
I picked up the current version and COD Ghosts for I think it was either $24.97 of 29.97 each. Other stores had new popular games on sale at that time as well but think Walmart was the cheapest. Hell by then the PS4 maybe cheaper in order to get those holiday dollers everyone's out spending.

99.99% Rockstar won't do a upgrade sale. You seen how they're handling online? Yeah, it's all shark cards.

So far they've given only free dlc's where others would have charged us $15 lol

I guess with your logic they're going to give us free ps4/ONE games yay

This. Black Friday is the way to go. I got Assassin's Creed Black Flag for about $35 on Black Friday. Didn't have to go wait in line either as most of the stores let you do Black Friday shopping online a day ahead with no shipping fee ;)

You are assuming the DLC's have actually been worth paying for. The answer is No.

Are you trying to claim what has come out so far for ONLINE ONLY is worth 1/4 of the value of the entire game?

Perhaps you have the failed logic.
