Well since the PS4 is roughly 10X more powerful than last-gen then the game should be able to pack way more content and enhancements, here's a list of what I think should be added, list your own ideas!

1)Texture details should bee doubled if not tippled!

2)Resolution should be increase!

3)Darker nights, better stealth mechanics!

4)View distance increases(Sniping people shouldn't look so blotchy far away)

5)More Buildings to go inside.

6)More missions and side missions.

7)New content like guns and gun attachments(lasers!?), cars and car parts, and clothes.

8)More random encounters, like maybe catch a serial killer or meet an old GTA character.

9)Better car spawns, see more types of vehicles, I still haven't found the Sabre muscle car yet.

10)Since the updated game doesn't come out till fall I hope to see a massive game DLC, one that adds more story missions or even new characters!

On PC you'll be able to adjust resolution, PS4 will be 1080p (as trailer was made on PS4, I'm pretty sure that's going to be it's native resolution, but I don't know anything about Xbone, but it might be the same case as with W_D, where Xbone's resolution is 792p, I think). We'll definitely see better textures, more vegetation, better view distance. I'd love to see more buildings you can visit inside, more missions and random encounters! All those ideas are great, but I didn't really had problems with sniping and a darkness of the night :)

I like that you're being more realistic with your expectations for this OP so thank you. I've been seeing people shouting things like "oh yeah this will mean that there will be hundreds of new cars, I bet they are gonna make the map even bigger, tons of new weapons and minigames and side missions!" I don't think Rockstar is going to code in a bunch of new content into the re-release, but instead I feel like they are just going to add in stuff that was cut from the last generation version but was left in the code. Now I need to figure out if I should invest in a gaming PC or buy a PS4 like a year earlier than I wanted.

The deeper, vibrant colors already look amazing. V on last gen had great lighting but a lot of parts would look washed out. Not anymore. :beerhat:

Definitely darker nights! You shouldn't see anything when in the middle of the wilderness. Currently you've got better vision with headlights off at night, which is quite funny.

Check out the Nürburging night in Gran Turismo 6. It's called dynamic lightning and it's amazing.

Getting bored of saying this:

It's just going to be GTA V with better graphics. The only new content we'll see is stuff that's already been added to the old game via DLC.

Technical Improvements: confirmed by R*

Everything else: Speculation, rumour and inevitably a source of disappointment when it does appear (even though no one has said it will appear).

Gird your loins now, people, because it's going to get f*cking tedious in here when it's released. So much hurtbutt.

People are seriously deluded, stupid or both if they think the new version will be the perfect GTA game they were waiting for.

Yeah, the biggest thing i can see is better graphics and maybe a few more improvements and cut content, i think that in future we will get more added via DLC's though, i don't think anything major is going to happen in the meantime.

Nope, not even cut content. Unless we're talking about the trees, cats and traffic density cut in the 'polishing' delay.

this is what i would like to see happening, ( none were confirmed):

-Human Shield?

-Hear music while walking? through headphones?

-Better fighting animation

-better AI in any aspect of the game: cops, animals, civilians... cops can now use shields and if you stay on the train and survive until you reach the tunnel, the heli will wait on top of the other entrance...

-Sand from dump can now drop from the vehicle?

- wind effect more noticeable for example on trees

-expecting better animal hunting animation

-animals can hunt other animals? (not sure if this feature was already in GTA V)

-better physics overall, falling...

-more environment destruction? not sure about this...

-casinos? more enterable buildings/places? tequi-la-la

-better explosion effects? based on what i´ve seen in the very few seconds of the trailer, we can see better water vapor effect so, can this also mean better smoke effect? and explosions?

-when smashing a car with a tank you can see better smashing effect and the car may not explode... better effects knowing that you can do this in GTA V already.

-be able to kidnap people and put them in car´s rear..

are we going to be able to use the heli´s inside(same to big planes) without needing to use a bike and so fully detailed?

-turf war?, drugs? and therefore, be able to run Trevor´s business?

-weapons with new attachments such as lasers? thus... cops using lasers? just like the screenshot?

Be free to discuss... From what i said the majority of the points probably won´t happen but it would have been pretty cool

We will only have what's already on the game! The only additions we get are the better graphics and the more wildlife which may or may not be DLC for the last-gen. And maybe more NPC's working on stuff, which I believe will happen.

I'd like police bribes and the ability to take someone hostage. Also more gang wars would be nice. Also I don't think they'll be adding any new stuff to the game besides minor things.

Is it just me or is it just the fact that Los Santos Customs, a car modification garage for bodywork and performance has the option to plant explosives into cars. And only having two types ignition bomb, which seems to detonate as soon as the victim enters the car rather than actually turning the car on. And remote bomb which is useful but if you forget you wasted 7500 credits. Now why not have a whole new garage dedicated to explosives, and other car weapons like spikes or something, good examples are ignition bomb that needs to be armed before use so nobody who is friendly would die from it, a time delay from it actually being detonated from the point the bomb was armed. And same goes for remote bombs, it would remotely arm or disarm bombs or the classic detonate! If you fell the same way then send rockstar an email on this same subject and hopefully they would notice. My xbox gamertag is the same as this nickname. Bye now

With the better hardware do you think that bodies and cars will last longer?

It seemed like in Watch_Dogs on the PS4 that when you parked a car it would stay where you left it for a pretty good period of time would be nice to see in GTA V, especially since it can help fix some of the issues with the impounding of cars that you had stolen or used.

Also another issue with GTA V on the PS3 was that when you would fight someone they wouldn't get knocked out they would get killed maybe with more memory they get knocked out and can be be brought back into consciousness by the ambulance when they come, also if you do shoot someone and kill them in the game, maybe the body can last longer.

The ability to use the trunk hide some bodies in there

Maybe vigilante makes a comeback or more bounty missions

Upgrade the property missions because on PS3/360 they some sh*t

Purchasable safehouses and Car insurance in SP?

Interiors

If you can't add interiors at least add the Drive-thru hell even that other game had a drive-thru Fake hoe or whatever that sh*ts called

Imagine hearing Welcome to Burgershot muthafuka in the drive-thru...

Who the f*ck knows what R* is gonna do but if they wait too long they food gonna get cold come on R* I don't like it when my food get cold

I hope they increase the speed limit for cars. Currently the fastest car (Adder) only gets up to 120 MPH.  Since it has to do with outdated hardware not being able to load and unload data fast enough, the next gen consoles should be able to handle higher speeds.

-Buy Apartments in Single Player(Basically, the GTA Online apartment feature)

-More Properties to buy in Single Player

-More Franklin activities like drug deals, repo, etc

-Casino

This is what I would like to see:

1. More interiors
2. GTA IV physics whilst falling, hitting something on a motorcycle, and flying out of the windshield.
3. Red Dead Redemption blood and gore, and also physics when you shoot somebody. Lets face it, GTA V is sh*t when it comes to shooting people. If you shoot them in the leg, they fall over, sigh, and die. Dafuq?
4. A NO COP CHEAT
5. Cut vehicles and content like the Hunter.
666. An option to turn the kill effect off
7. Slightly better handling, especially for drifting.

What I expect to see:

1....
2....
3....
4....
5....
6....
7....

I'm not gonna get my hopes up for a bunch of sh*t that isn't confirmed. I would like to see more stuff, but I'm not gonna get hyped. The only things we know for sure is damage effects, better graphics, better textures, and MAYBE a cockpit view.

Stop overhyping everything, folks, unless Rockstar confirms anything. I have a feeling when current gen GTA V releases, it'll be like September 17th alllll over again. A bunch of disappointed people who got hyped up over sh*t nobody said anything about.

Fully Open enterable Casino and Purchasable Safehouses from Dynasty 8 and Lenny Avery in Single-Player should be in the PC/Next Gen versions because there is more than enough Ram, in fact an abundance of it, to easily accommodate these features.

Also list of things that would be cool too see added. ( Some have already been shown )

1) Better resolution
2) Better frame rate ( more consistent )
3) More traffic ( and more variable traffic spawning )
4) More pedestrians
5) More pedestrians activities
6) Dynamic State ( thing they mentioned before the game came out like seeing a gardener get picked up then driven to work and him working )
7) Activities that were cut out ( such as basketball, drug dealing, pimping, house invasions etc )
8) Smarter AI
9) More realistic car damage
10) Better car physics
11) Better physics when running or bumping into people or objects
12) Animals that hunt each other
13) More animals type
14) Being able to ride horses, and the supposed cut heist that involved that
15) Interior driving view
16) More realistic weapon recoil
17) More realistic health system ( or potential way to put the game on a hardcore or realistic mode )
18) New TV shows, movies, and songs on the radio stations, and websites
19) Getting out of the car and leaving the engine on.
20) Things that were cut out and meant to be in the PS3 or 360 version because of console limitations.

I'm hoping we get some kind of weapon other than a knife to defend against sharks. If Rockstar is adding hammerheads then that would mean more shark encounters which doesn't bode well for underwater exploration. How about some legendary creatures both on land and sea? kinda like Bigfoot in RDR.

I would like to see them take the predictability out if the spawning patterns. I would like to go to the airport and and not always the same planes taking off/ landing every single time. Same with traffic.

I also just want them to add some surprises so we really enjoying exploring again. Sure it's going to be fun exploring and checking out the pretty new graphics, but imagine if there were more interiors and random encounters. This would give the game a fresh feel.

I think everybody would love more missions and vehicles. I'm sure we will get something, I'm just not sure if it will be in the game or a DLC.

The Casino is a big deal to me. The opening soon sign has always made me believe it would eventually open. The could have left that off it could have been like every other location we can't enter. I would like to see them use the race track too .

More activities like surfing, or maybe even add a wing suite would be nice.

I would like to see more aircraft. Flying is my favorite part of the game and there are plenty of planes and heli's, but I would always enjoy more.

Some interior possibilities:
Airport terminal (LSX Control tower)
Mall
Restaurants
Banks (should be able to rob)
Casino
Prison
All the properties that can be purchased.
Government buildings
Random houses

Overall, I just want a game that I don't mind paying $60 for. Better graphics is nice but that alone isn't enough. With all that being said, I'm not expecting everything in my wish list, I just hope they do enough to give is a fresh experience and a reason to keep playing.

The game was already filled with a lot of things, and from what we have seen, R* had to cut a lot of things out of the game that they had already sort of developed, or made because of the console limitations of the Xbox 360 or the PS3.

Being that the next gen version will be on more powerful hardware and has an extra year or so of development, it wouldn't be too hard to imagine that they would add in things like the casino, the pink slips in racing, some drug dealing, or any of the other found cut content into the game?

With the new animals they shown already in the trailer, it wouldn't be that much of a surprise if they add in the horses, which adds in the horse racing at the track and also potentially adds in the heist that was supposedly cut out ( which could count as one of Michael and Trevors new adventure for a DLC ) as well.

Obviously expecting new cities or large parts of a new story or a lot of new features and changes isn't realistic or is unexpected... but the PS3 and Xbox 360 version were missing a lot of stuff that people had expected, or that they had shown, or that they mentioned, or that was shown to be cut when people searched through the files.

Well a lot of these things got developed at some level so if they were caught because of time constraints or console limitations they should be in the game now, as it will be on more powerful hardware and have an extra year or so of development.

Also being that R* A) potentially makes a lot more money re-releasing a game that has new features along with better graphics, and B) gets to create the game they wanted to in the first place ( since for them to cut these ideas they had to think it was a good idea at some point ) it would make sense for them to add these things back into the game.

These cut features

SIDE MISSIONS & ACTIVITIES

  • Vigilante Missions removed
  • Drug Dealing was removed
  • Pimping was removed
  • Mini-Games like basketball, air hockey, pool, weightlifting, stealing/ exporting were cut
  • The hunting side mission originally had a different HUD
  • Michael had a 2 cut random encounters, both with a lady called Magenta
  • Franklin had 2 more sets of random encounters, 2 for a guy called Dale, and 5 between 2 fighting neighbors

Horses were in the  game (removed for unknown reasons, as files would have been similar to Red Dead Redemption)

There would have been an extra heist involving the 3 protagonists robbing a rich guys mansion dressed as clowns or mimes stealing artwork and  kidnapping his wife (probably merged with the Madrazo sub-plot)

  • The Skimmer Plane was removed (sigh)
  • The Hunter attack-helicopter was removed, that was available to buy through WARSTOCK (double-sigh)
  • A VTOL Jet, possibly the Hydra was cut/ merged with the Lazer
  • The Blista Compact was removed and replaced with the Dinka Blista (some wrecks of the car can be seen around the map)
  • The Crop-duster originally had a cleaner, less rusty paint job
  • The Crop-duster could also spray crop dust (pesticides)
  • A military Patriot-flatbed ATV crossover was removed also available to buy through WARSTOCK
  • A green Shamal paint-job was cut/removed
  • The ambulance's light bar was identical to IV's
  • The Bodhi and the Cabrio were both civilian cars and could be seen regularly (first trailer)
  • The lazer's exhaust flame was orange, not purple also had shock diamonds
  • The Marbelle was cut
  • The Rhapsody was cut
  • The Uranus was cut

Tequila-La was originally open all the time and possibly a functioning club like in TBOGT (interior seen in a Trevor Stranger and Freaks mission for the British people)

Cops originally used the Stun-Gun and the Baton as a non-lethal use of arrest against the player.

Police could arrest people not just shoot them

    637fd10d007aac53d0c710c2cbd2c298.png?136

Now I'm not saying to expect all of those things to now be in the game, as some of them were cut for design decisions, some of them probably would still be too glitchy or wouldn't work right, and some they might just get lazy on and not put in the game, and also some of those seem like DLC... but imagine how in depth GTA V already was on PS3 and Xbox 360 and how hard it would have been to put all of those things into the game and have it still run well. With better console power and an extra year of development some of these things should come back in.

Also check these out.

They had audio for things like horse racing, drug dealing, owning businesses, and for being able to record videos with your phone, and the casino.

Also listen to the more in depth police scanner audio.

Maybe all of this was meant to be in the game but would be to advanced for the PS3 or Xbox 360 or they wanted to use them to sell the PS4 or Xboxone or PC version.

They could, that's absolutely true, but who knows what they'll do in the end?

Now I'm not saying to expect all of those things to now be in the game, as some of them were cut for design decisions, some of them probably would still be too glitchy or wouldn't work right, and some they might just get lazy on and not put in the game, and also some of those seem like DLC... but imagine how in depth GTA V already was on PS3 and Xbox 360 and how hard it would have been to put all of those things into the game and have it still run well. With better console power and an extra year of development some of these things should come back in.

Nice info thanks.
