"Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail. Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions all work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North’s epic reimagining of Southern California.

Switch between the interconnected lives of Michael, Trevor and Franklin as they embark on a series of heists across Los Santos and Blaine County in the biggest, deepest and richest open world experience yet, with game world enhancements that include new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, and an array of new details to discover."

This sounds to me like this will just be an upgrade as far as graphics,  more peds,  more vehicles,  animals,  etc.  I hope I'm wrong tho.  Do you guys think they will also include a lot of features many feel were left out such as...

* minigames like bowling,  pool,  basketball

* cockpit view

* enterable places like Burger Shot

* random jobs like pizza deliver,  paramedic,  vigilante like GTA IV

* side hitman missions like IV but unlimited

* side car jacking missions like IV for Brucie but unlimited

* ability to use the trunk to store weapons,  put kinapped ppl in,  etc

and so on

Also,  do you think the upgrades will include stuff like...

* better mele combat system

* adjusted driving mechanics (preferably more like IV)

* more fluid parkour type movement

* more in depth friend system so its more like IV

* ability to hang out with more characters at once

and so on

I'm buying the game again regardless.  Just want to know what you guys think and if possible has there been any word on what to expect.  I really hope its more than just the same game on a better system.

Yep, they'll also upgrade the story, removing 69 story missions from PS3/X360 versions and adding 251 new ones.

In fact, it'll be a new game. They just sell it under GTA V name, but it'll have nothing in common with GTA V. Really.

It will just be a port, nothing more. Just like every developer does, and has done in the past. Very little difference besides graphics, and amount of online players.

They're also condensing Franklin, Trevor and Michael into one Tommy Vercetti, and turning Jimmy into CJ--who you'll be bale to switch to, instead. Also, Chop becomes Niko. Plus, Johnny and his death gets replaced by Luis, and Ron & Wade will be replaced by realistic steak and jiggly boob physics, respectively. Rockstar is finally listening to us, guys!

A lot of small details not seen in the console versions were turned on in that trailer, such as more traffic, Hammerhead Sharks, more vegetation, etc. I'm under the impression none of it was bullsh*t considering they'd have no reason to considering a high end PC can run it. If it's anything like the Max Payne 3 port, it may actually be optimized to play on most machines decently.

But the gameplay was captured on ps4.

Which means Rockstar has even less reason to bullsh*t the trailer.

I'd buy the next gen version if it has new levels that were shortened or cut for the last gen versions.

Yes, it will just be a technical and graphical overhaul, no they won't restore the stuff from other games.

So bored of repeating myself. What is making people so crazy? At what point in any of what's been said by R* so far does it even HINT that a bunch of extra stuff is going to be added?

Just graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of details.
There's still time left, may be the features, if any, will follow soon.

The PC/NG version will include the new exclusive DLC that will allow players to experience a whole new story in Ludendorff, North Yankton. The story is about Michael De Santa and his son Jimmy returning to Ludendorff so Jimmy can learn how to "work with his hands" so to speak. But in a shocking turn of events, the local drug abusing gang leader, Rick Chance, runs into Jimmy and gets him too involved in the criminal underworld and inevitably gets him kidnapped by accident. At this point, Rick has to rely on his Eastern European errand boy Niko Bellic to help him get Jimmy back. Michael, Rick and Niko have to team up for a common goal.

There will be several new weapons, cinluding but limited to: the MP40, Galil, SCAR-H, Adaptive Combat Rifle, and an Ecopeta shotgun. (Shotgun shotgun translation?). Most vehicles from Los Santos will be available in North Yankton, albeit covered in snow. Now you can have a Chrome Adder zooming down the frozen river to your imminent crash!

Oh, and Niko has a depression special ability.

• More animals.

• Much much better graphic fidelity

• Possible cockpit view

• High-res textures

• Video editor

• Mod-ability

• Denser traffic

And this is just what we know as of now, I'd say it's much more than just an update.

Yes, I don't know why are people suddenly expecting to see LV, SF and VC in the game, with 50 new heists and all the mini games that were in every GTA ever released. It's a port, that will as always include some new graphical features, and it seems we get some new animals.

That's it. Graphics and new animals, nothing more as far as we know, and I'm cool with that, I just want to play it on my PC.

GTA V is being upgraded, but it's still GTA V. I was surprised alone by the new hammer head sharks. The additional foliage is to be expected these days. Looking forward to playing GTA V as intended.

It'll just be an upgrade, with a few extra features added in, but not on the scale I think people are expecting to see. I don't for one second think we'll be getting extra minigames and missions. I mean, never say never and all that, but hype can only lead to disappointment to some degree, at least.

I think they will add in new storyline and missions. They've already got the city built, the main storyline written, the gameplay mechanics designed, the AI functioning. We can see they're keen to make more than just graphical improvements to improve their sandbox from the trailer. There is huge feedback for more interior locations to be available (and buildings like the Casino, which actually states "Opening Soon" on the sign (what further clues do you need than that?))

Basically, if they add in a few major new features (lets wildly speculate, 4 hours new gameplay with new characters, an island with an airport and town of its own, new accessible buildings like the casino and Fleeca banks and all the other expected graphical and game improvements) then it will act as the absolute convincer to those sitting on the fence to buy the game all over again. It will feel like a new game.

If they just re-jig the graphics they'll fail to convince a fairly large proportion. For not too much (relatively) time and effort, they can add major features and make $1bn all over again, and then some. I think it makes financial sense for them to build on the game heavily and promote that to their customer base.

I hope so. A crew member left a floater in my apartment and the property has depreciated.

Also hoping you can sit down (on benches/the beach/edges of lake etc) It may be a small thing but I really want it! :)

Well, lets just wait and see.

Untill pc modders tears its files off, splits the code wide open and ram their mods in it repeatedly, making it our bitch.

/neckbeard powertrip mode off

There's always hoping, alot of good ideas among gamers! So many missing features in this title....

It may sound off topic, but does anyone know how long it took between the announcement of each DLCs to IV? And even better, how long it took to develop them? I'm asking because since everyone is so curious about new content, we could compare the develop\release time of Episodes to the NG\story DLC and try to deduce how much work could R* do.
