Welcome to the PC Version Modding Discussion. Discuss on any mods you would like to see on the PC Version of Grand Theft Auto V.

 

Grand Theft Auto V for PC is finally released!

Any problems with the cracking of codes and models yet? Has anyone found a way to import models, scripts, and make a trainer? Let us know below!

 

Now, following the recent announcements, there may be some problems arising the modding community since Grand Theft Auto V is looking far more complex than expected. Some problems may be:

 

  • Working Dashboards on cars, bikes, helis, and planes.
  • Cellphone mods - it may not be that easy anymore due to the fact that the phones have been majorly overhauled.
  • First person camera in vehicles.
  • The look of weapons in both first and third person.
  • Neon positioning (although maybe the neons would work like the trainer would do it in IV, so scratch this if neon models a-la NFS Underground 2 wouldn't be used)

FREQUENTLY SUGGESTED MODS

A lot of us like to have mods from IV back in V. Here are some of the FSMs that users in this thread would type:

  • Simple Native Trainer
  • TrafficLoad
  • SAPDFR (LCPDFR)
  • Car Packs
  • Opened casinos (if it isn't included in a patch or in the game by default)
  • More HQ textures (because the HQ textures aren't enough)
  • ENB/iCEnhancer (because the graphics aren't realistic enough)

 

 

Now, to top it all off, I'll give you the question that I originally had the title for this thread:

What would you mod when GTA V for PC comes out?

I'd probably just go through the files and see if they can be decomplied using current tools. I'd try modding game scripts or convert maps to/from other games.

Also unlock the dive gear, that super commando armor, etc.

Real body impact bullet holes! Too much?
Also I wish GTA V allows people to own servers with the mod in order add special multiplayer gameplay like MTA or SAMP.

I would mod/replace every emergency/law enforcement vehicle. I'm not alone in that regard.

I think the car spawning bug will remain in PC because of the amount of cars that appeared on the trailer, to save up memory. TrafficLoads will do.

Some people suggested ENBs, but honestly, the game already looks cool.

At least I can now replace my Zentorno with a Sesto Elemento.

Not intersted in graphical mods seeing it already looks magnificent. I could do with more trees tho and also driveable trains, oh and fully functionable JB700 and changing some more aspects but nothing really too major like an iron man mod or not even a jetpack, I like my games to be as original as they can.

His handling mod rejuvinated my appreciation of IV. Cars actually handled properly.
Killatomate is the expert at GTA car handling. My Huntley Sport didn't feel sporty at all, but after the mod, BAM it's sporty. He should be able to promote body roll on cars like the Canis Bodhi, Karin BeeJay XL and the Albany Cavalcade.

Just a few ideas:

 

I FORGOT ABOUT THE BANK RAID ARMOR, omg, that was awesome, that's a MUST mod to make, some ideas:

 

- Garages/apartments from MP to work in story mode, or at least have access to the garages to store ANY vehicle

- Store any vehicle in the airport hangers...any vehicle!

- Mod the contacts to allow vehicle delivery in story mode, again, any vehicle perhaps for a price if the above two don't work

- Bank Heist Armor!

- 6th star? Or if not, bring back FBI and Tanks to the wanted system + also tweak the wanted system a bit to be more diverse

- Stronger vehicles so we can crush with dozer/dumptruck/dock loader without cars blowing up (hated that so much)

[ Addon to above, makes cars crushable without blowing up in general, same with riding in the tank and "rolling over" stuff]

- Remove how "explody" cars are, remove the gas tank from going boom so easily when throwing it off a cliff or crashing at high speed, stupid IMO (and unrealistic)

- FLYABLE UFO'S!!

- Be able to de-rail the train and stop it from being "immovable"

- Makes stock market actually do more when you cause chaos/missions/effect stuff in the world

- Denser traffic/pedestrians in peak times/more weather change up/SNOW!

- Less "heavy" cars, i hate how you can't hit something and carry on or crash through a road block in heavier cars, a car crash should "feel" epic without limiting fun

- NORTH YANKTON!

 

And so much more, not to mention the big ones from GTA4 getting converted like Hulk + Ironman mods, so much modding fun to be had, can't wait for the awesome stuff to come!

And maybe even make Franklin's Aunt's garage still work after you get 3671 Whispymound Drive. And also fix a few errors in the game.

-Spawn Sadler2
-Spawn Stockade2
-Spawn Emperor3
-Spawn Rancher2
-Spawn Tractor3 (or what is it called)

OMG @OP nice spot with the moving dials on the dashboard for the cars :O!

 

Could this mean we are going to get a FULL IN CAR cockpit view WITH moving dials?! That would be awesome, trumping WatchDogs again lol.

 

Man...i wonder if this annoucement came pretty quick with all the hype surrounding that game, currently, i enjoy WD far more in terms of gameplay than GTA5, but GTA5 on PC...that's a whole new ecosystem of modding delicious!

Quite admittedly, nothing. I will probably use the Simple Native Trainer if sjaak makes one though, like I did with IV. :p That may be all, I may try a few mods but probably won't stay with them.

Something tells me that mods will not available for some time until the mod dev's wrap their head around the new game plus Rockstar are going to pull a "file-check" system in order to stop the use of mods being brought into Online. However, as much as I'm being cynical it'll be fun to see what the mod dev's can pull off with this new game so bring on the hilarious model swaps!

- Do NOT turn off the engine when getting out of the car (press F to get out, hold F to turn it off).
- Do NOT start running when the player shoots or burns something up. Makes me nervous.
 
I really want something like this to be developed. But of course, what I can't wait for is the SNT.

I used the search and found nothing about this, so I guess it's either I didn't look at it good or a such topic doesn't exist. Whatever, do you think the PC version will be moddable like the previous GTA games were?

I'm going to mod my own steakhouse into GTA Online where you can get realistic steaks ranging from $20 to $120.
