i hope traffic is increased by hand only in places where it makes sense

if 'Traffic' just becomes a slider, Low-Medium-High, then we're going to end up with stupid amounts of traffic in Hollywood Hill suburns, Sandy Shores, Raton Valley, etc

that's my biggest concern with the graphics update, just a linear increase to everything instead of just improving the traffic or foliage where it's needed

Rather that have a slider that controls density, I think it would just be better to have traffic feisty similar to real life. So peak hours it could be as busy as it was in the trailer, middle of the night on a weekday dead quiet in most places and average amounts of traffic for times in between.

I want the ped density to be has heavy as in the trailer, even if the roads aren't full I'd love to see sidewalks full of people.

A better NPC damage system. It needs to be more unpredictable so that it adds a bit of replayability. Have some NPCs survive the two bullets you fired at them and get up and crawl away like in IV, or have some get up after you knock them out in melee combat. Have them limp and hold the part of the body that the damage was inflicted on. Have them sometimes NOT die when you crash into them at high speeds. Have paramedics that sometimes actually revive the NPCs. This would all just add a bit of unpredictability about rampages and make them worth doing more times.

Other than that, I want the shooting to be revamped but I don't see it happening. There needs to be recoil on some weapons, and there's got to be bullet spread too. It's far to easy to land every bullet you shoot at the moment, and that just doesn't seem fun to me.

I also hope the driving gets more of a TBoGT twist. I buy into a theory that, as you may have guessed, unpredictability adds serious replay value. Though the handling was rather ridiculous at times in GTA IV, I do think that the car physics were excellent. I didn't feel like I was on rails and I felt as if any crash could result in any kind of crazy set-piece-like action for me, the player. It's this kind of unpredictability which V's driving doesn't have and I think it's because of the lack of suspension - I mean look at what happens when you're going full speed and ride up a pavement! This should have pretty destructive consequences but absolutely nothing happens.

Though the slider doesn't actually imply that will happen. Developers can set a set number of cars, type of cars, etc. for a given location. All the slider would do is adjust that, not meaning the zones wouldn't respect their rules. For instance if you had traffic density at 25, you'd still see more in the city than in the countryside (but less on both than if you had it on 100).

I know it probably won't happen, but I hope they redo the gun sounds in this game. They really sound like toys.

Most of the next gen titles are 30 fps. I bet the PS4/Xbox One version is going to be 30 fps.

There's been quite a few that have been 60 FPS, but then again most of them have cut corners in other areas. For example, Forza 5 has some ugly small details beyond the immaculate tracks themselves, however it doesn't really matter because who plays a closed track based racing game then stops to look at the scenery? So with a theory about this game being 30 fps I reckon you'd be on the money there. Being a PC gamer primarily, I appreciate 60 fps in games as the smoothness is incredible (and even higher than that on a G-Sync monitor must be breathtaking). However, saying that 30fps is absolutely fine, nothing really wrong with that; it's just when things constantly dip below 25 when things start getting quite stodgy.

I think a lot of the time, it's up to the game developer whether a game should be equivalent to High/Very High PC settings @ 30 or a mix of Medium to High PC settings @ 60 fps; and how they feel which one of these would be the best compromise for the majority of their market. Music games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band for example are critical to run at 60 fps otherwise i'm sure people would start getting headaches and the game would get frustrating. A game like GTA however, is generally a great experience any as it is no matter the console or it's performance or even graphical fidelity, but for those who want the best graphics/smoothness; build a beastly PC and play! :-)

I hope the game is around 40 fps on consoles, that's a luxury on my old laptop.

Definitely, I agree and I've always said this. The gunshots sounds in V were average at best, they sounded much better in GTA IV.

At the very least, I'd hope to see :

* Better gang AI, as in rival gangs having random shootouts in the ghetto not connected to player activity.

* Also gang members not just carrying pistols, but also machine guns and shotguns.

* Better car handling and physics as in IV.

* More interiors, especially the nightclubs, bars, fast food outlets, restaurants, and some hospitals.

* Being able to buy residential properties, also with interiors.

* More wildlife, with better AI too.

* Guns that supposed to be black, are actually black in color.

* Glock Pistol, more SMGs like Mac-10s and Tec-9s.

Yep, like all these. I doubt they'll change the car handling or physics though.

Also looking forward to the increased traffic and hoping for more dynamic events - and for them to be moved across into GTA: O too!

Maybe if they've fixed the interiors they've fixed the shoot-from-car camera? I hope so! Worked in every GTA until this one :D

I sure hope parking garages and parking lots are filled with cars. They got this so perfect in IV but then all the multi level parking garges in V are all completely empty as f*ck.

Something to do, please. To quote Ideocracy, "I like money", but come on man wheres the drug dealing. TP Industries has a decent meth lab, how about I keep inventory of what was made, sold, stolen, and destroyed and based on that information call up Merryweather to assist me in taking out my rivals.

The stock market would be interesting if there were any way to clearly manipulate it outside of Franklins Assassination Missions like stealing goods to resell back on the black market or destroying shipments.

Franklin was frequently mentioning "Forum Gangsters" which Lamar quickly shot down, the option to go forward on that idea now that Franklin is in a great position would include  selling weight for Trevor (mostly cocaine or other drugs that TP Industries doesn't deal with), selling stolen vehicles (online only right now which is strange), dealing on the stock market (cleaning the money), stronghold management, and recruiting.

OPEN BAHAMAS MAMAS, I cannot stress that enough, there's so much to be had in that establishment.

Michaels career in Hollywood should expand, opening a deeper dynamic with his family, specifically his daughter, and creating dynamic situations for the family. With that comes connections to key people who can influence public image which can influence the economy. This then opens up more heist opportunities. The more Michael contributes to this end the better the scores, unfortunately this will have to be balanced with his personal life.

VIGILANTE MISSIONS, nuff said.

I believe everyone has covered everything else but I know for certain with these enhancements the replay ability won't be such an issue, as it is now.

So with the new power could rockstar do what they intended to do in the first place?
Initially they were going to create a living breathing city and every npc has a life and jobs etc, but that didn't work out due to console limitations so could they effectively do this now?

I really hope my PC can run it. If not, I'm gonna be so disappointed...

I'm not sure about the CPU, but the PS4 and Xbone have a GPU that's a little less powerful than an HD 7850.

i hope traffic is increased by hand only in places where it makes sense

if 'Traffic' just becomes a slider, Low-Medium-High, then we're going to end up with stupid amounts of traffic in Hollywood Hill suburns, Sandy Shores, Raton Valley, etc

that's my biggest concern with the graphics update, just a linear increase to everything instead of just improving the traffic or foliage where it's needed

You must be a console gamer. Grow a brain. They made gta v on pc for pc and ported it to consoles. Everything on pc is intact as it was supposed to be. They're just continuing to polish stuff. The reason gtav came out on old gen because cash grab and it was so easy to do, taking 95% of graphics out of it. objects, physics animations.

Please stop being a snide little dick. Oh wait, you're a PC gamer. lulz.

On topic:

I'm really not expecting anything more than what's been added via DLC at this point. We may get a few more interiors, but I doubt it. We'll get the things visually confirmed in the trailers, probably - we've seen them pull things at the last minute for V, though, so please, everyone, stop getting your hopes up for things you are imagining are there.

When things are 100% confirmed, get excited. Until then, just chill.

Same, I'm expecting it to just be the last-gen on current-gen and I am more than happy with that. The visual improvements are more than enough for me

Well there's also the fact that you're f*cking wrong.

Who gives a sh*t what system he plays on? Secondly, he's completely right. There are some areas in the game that shouldn't have high density traffic, and from the Next-Gen Tease trailer, it looks like there will be sadly. And that isn't how it should be.
