Don't think they have been posted yet.

I'm so glad they are actually bringing back a proper MP5 like in the first video.

Am I the only one thinking this game hasn't gone anywhere fast since the first showing?

I'm guessing by now it's just about fixing bugs and other stuff.

Yeah, the E3 reveal was neat. They had a basic but fairly solid foundation. It's Counter Strike meets Tom Clancy with destruction. We have to remember they showed it off in a pretty early state. Barely any recoil, some bland textures, a few clumsy animations etc. The lighting was pretty good though.

I'd say they are going to have a nice little E3 presentation in June and then push it out between August and November. It definitely feels like one of those niche games though where only a certain crowd will be going for it.

I doubt it. The game has been built from the ground up 3 times since Patriots. Ubisoft wouldn't continue development if they aren't sure that they will get the money back which they lost by that.

They will push this game like they pushed Far Cry 3 and 4.

Also I found that the 3rd person animations were really good. Graphics were ok but it obviously was pre-alpha and we havent seen another build since then. Assuming that the E3 build already was a few months old before they showed it, the game probably looks alot different by now.

I'm sure they will surprise us it's just seeing those debug textures in the levels demonstrated in the video scares me that they haven't got very far with it at all, in actual fact 2016 popped into my head for some reason once I had seen that content.

I hope they changed the UI. I dont really like the player counter that pops up after every kill. Also the pictures that show who is still alive. Takes away the immersion imo. Makes the game look more arcady than it is.

I just hope they won't consolify this too much. Apart from that from what I've seen it looks neat/fun... but with Ubisoft one must always stay vigilant. Overuse of overly scripted 'live gameplay' for promotion and not to mention releasing garbage builds or just garbage games that gotten hyped/marketed to oblivion.

Terrorist Hunt should return imo. Especially with the destruction and new gadgets this could be really fun.

The operator in me just got a huge boner.

Hopefully my PC can handle this. Also really wishing for old Vegas maps too. I memorized the entire Calypso Casino layout.

If Ubisoft cares about the opinion of the community, the game might drasticly change. They arent happy with the game at all. And I agree with them.

The gameplay itself looks promising but all that BS that already is in that game...

Hitmarkers, teammate outlines, low recoil, HBS, too high TTK for a tactical shooter, too much info on the HuD, all those pop up notifications when someone dies...

Even the YouTubers and Journalists criticized most of that. If Ubisoft doesnt listen they shouldnt wonder if the game gets a bad reputation and dies quickly after launch.

Will this have a single player campaign? The single player has always been fun and well done in the Rainbow Six games.

Jack's video was great. He put it perfectly. The game looks really fun and all, but some things just shouldn't be in there period.

If they split the game into different modes like casual, advanced, and hardcore i'd be okay with that. They can make it accessible without ruining it for everyone else. It's just that ubisoft aren't known for giving a f*ck.

Siege has a lot of potential for sure, but i'll wait for Jack's review.

I hope they're going to amaze us with their SP campaign. Multiplayer looks solid, good fun... but yeah hitmarkers there are just out of place. Why does every f*ckin' shooter game has this included? It's totally stupid. Hit markers, grenade icons... stuff like that is what's wrong with shooter games for a long time.

I was one of the first to say stuff like that is/was crap and a totally wrong and it still is. Especially if you look at certain types of game... doesn't need to be in there!

Right now there is no word even if it has a singleplayer or any co-op terrorist hunt features. Because if it is just modes like this with only 5v5 with one life, I will pass. It just looks like CS:GO with destruction right now, with worse shooting mechanics.

All I ever wanted was Vegas 3. Seeing as that isn't going to happen, at least take the route of a singleplayer & co-op somewhat realistic tactical shooter against AI.

Let us have the option to have respawns in some modes but have a realistic mode without it. It's all about the AI for me and the AI was amazing in Vegas 1 and 2. I couldn't give a sh*t about PvP. So I will have to wait to hear more.

I REALLY dislike the idea of characters to choose from rather than having the customization yourself. It turns it into a f*cking moba style game like Overwatch or something. I want to choose my characters looks all the way from race, facial features, gender, hairstyles and face paints, all through all of my clothing and equipment on myself. I want to customize every little thing about my clothing like I could in Vegas.

Preset characters is stupid.

Also, when the f*ck will games let me choose the shooting stance I want for f*ck sake? I wish they would stop forcing me to hold rifles incorrectly by the f*cking magazine. It is f*cking heartbreaking to see.

f*ck YEAH... I want a (military) FPS game where I can choose my race, gender, posture, facial hair, hairdo, haircolours, eyecolours, BDU's, camouflage patterns, gear (plate carriers, belts, holsters, backpacks) and customise the sh*t out of my guns with legit/real deal stuff.

Why haven't they done this yet?!

edit: and lord YES shootin' stances that are legit as f*ck. No more 'DERP I hold a support weapon by the f*ckin' magazine'... 'holy sh*t I'm such an operator I hold my M4 by the magwel like oldschool SWATS... CHICKENWINGIN4LIFE'.

Really... also why o WHY don't they experiment more with different kinds of reloads? It's always one base set of animations and that's it. There are few, if not even NO games out there that do this. Different reload of when you have rounds in the magazine left. Another one for an empty reload. Admin reloads/speed reloads... Speed admin reload and all that sh*t. Make it legit!

Exactly.

Since when was it ok to add 10 different styles of vertical grips into a game like Battlefield 4 yet the prick doesn't even have a different animation for holding them. The c*nt acts like they aren't even there. So what the hell is the point?

Less of the tacked on bullsh*t with predator 3 dot lazers and flashlights that don't mean sh*t. Give us more iron sight options and a different choice to hold weapons. Each stance style could benefit you in different ways such as accuracy and control or faster movement and quicker ADS, etc.

Even some of the weapon types make no sense. It seems that games always seem to copy a trend of the biggest game and use guns they are currently using, instead of researching what weapons would actually be used.

There is no reason for a swat team to be using a concealable fold out SMG. Or an L85 that only two countries in the world even use and never use for counter terrorism activities. It just seems really gimmicky.

If you look at that jackfrags gameplay video, look how much f*cking bounce his MP5K has. It is f*cking ridiculous. Any gun with a stock is going to be planted into your shoulder and be as still as possible. Your whole upper body stays in position and your head does not bob. Which is proper tactical movement.

I do like hit markers though, but it only is needed in games that have medium to long range combat, I like being able to judge my shots and learn from them despite not seeing the target. But in this mode, you will know when someone is hit or dead from being right in front of them. So they are not needed here. Blood splats used to serve this purpose.

So yeah, pretty arcadey as f*ck right now. I guess you could argue the same for R6 Vegas, but even on easy difficulty the AI went down in 1-2 hits and you rarely needed to hold your trigger down at all. 2-3 shot bursts was all you needed. It had easy to use features and gameplay but with realistic damage. Which Is what I want.

I really hope the game has much more to it than just this mode. I really hope that what we have seen is not the main meat of the game.

Daz, really if we were to make an FPS game/franchise and we were to pick the engine, pick the people responsible for certain things from certain epic games... it would be a game to withstand ages. And not easy to top :).

I would love for a shooter to be made just for the enjoyment of firing the guns and having your own personal love for a particular gun. Make it your own, change anything about it you don't like. Even as far as tweaking the sound of it.

I am just sick of seeing old prototypes still exist in games and things like the L85 and FAMAS somehow being in games without british or french forces.

I love playing as SAS or GIGN but they wouldn't use those even then and it just seems like it is Counter-Strike right now. I thought previous affiliations with other groups aren't recognized when you are part of the "Rainbow 6".

It has kind of lost all meaning now.

If it isn't Vegas 3, then why isn't it tactical planning like the first game. I hope we get some news on non PvP aspects soon.

Ok, I've gotten an email from Ubisoft that I'm selected for the closed alpha. Yay! Downloading now. Either checking out a little bit later or tomorrow morning. Will play a couple of rounds and post my 'initial' thoughts of this. Curious to get my hands on with this.

If this is total garbage/a letdown.... don't even think about f*cking up The Division Ubisoft.

Edit:

Got let's say an hour/hour and a half of gameplay into this. I must say; the alpha is a huge alpha.

Lots of problems, needs ALOT of netcode optimisation because it's super sh*tty at the moment. Alot of bullsh*t moments when you don't even see the enemy peeking out but 'apparently' you were peeking out alot more than he was (while you're also barely seeing anything yourself... but apparently you were pretty much standing in the open for the opponent).

How does it feel shooting the weapons? Well, Ubisoft style. Out of place, not real, not meaty. Battlefield (heck even some Call of Duties), Red Orchestra 2, Killing Floor, Max Payne 3... those are games that make weapons feel REAL, meaty, with FELT recoil. Eventhough it's games you're playing... in those games it feels like you're handling a real firearm. Shooting some real 5.56 rounds into targets. Pumping some motherf*cking 7.62's down range to spread some hate and discontempt. Pumpin' out some .45's for the sake of saving your life.

In this game it feels like you're shooting airsoft guns... some really sh*tty ones. Heck, real airsoft guns have more feel to it.

The hit marker? Defo needed. Why? You barely see hits. Not in animation/not in feel. Nothing. Spraying pays off. That's the only way you're going to have a higher chance or taking someone out. And yeah, a chance.

So is it completely sh*t? Not really, as the trailers promised. The basic idea is still really cool. And it's actually fun. But there's so much they need to polish up/change. And I don't see that happening really. (and before you start flamin' me... we all know pretty much current 'alpha/beta' programmas from mainstream developers/publishers are glorified betas with some limitations in the product. And those limitations are purely meant in content form... not in 'polishing' of the game itself or something.

Whatever, here's a trophy shot. This dude tried to be smart and blow the ceiling near the hostage to take us out one by one and eventually drop down. Well, slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Circled around the hole and checked out where he was, took him out.

Being a new game with a fresh community i wonder if people will actually take it seriously or if pub matches are just going to be endless f*cking about with 1 or 2 people on both teams actually playing the objective.

I do think it has potential to be good, but it right now it looks like a watered down cs with none of the features included that makes the cs community strong. Not talking about hitmarkers or gameplay features per se, but things like vote kicking or penalty for quitting. Some of those are bs, but at the end of the day it does force the community in a direction that creates a good/serious competitive mp game. I just don't see features like those being green-lighted by a big publisher like ubisoft.
