So will he/she continue the tradition of being a Tacymist, or will it be something else?

Surely they would be Tacymist II then Tacymist III then Tacymist IV etc etc.

I'll stay around unless I lose complete interest in all video games.

Most likely. I have taken quite a few breaks from here, but I always return. I do get caught up with some things from time to time, but I try my best to visit GTAF in any free time that I get. As long as this place is active, I don't plan on leaving entirely. I definitely will never forget about this place. This is a very great community here. Plus, GTA made my childhood amazing. The nostalgic feelings I get from just thinking about GTA games is spectacular.

When I first joined here, I actually did not intend on staying, but I was fooled completely.

What the actual hell, OP... again?

I personally can see myself returning here when I'm 35 or 40 just to see what's going on.

Really? Because, after analyzing your (many) threads, I couldn't tell if you would last longer than a year, since all that depression of yours could lead to suicidal thoughts and then to the act itself.

When you joined was it just to troll? Planned on being a permanent member, or was it just a temporary thing?

As you can see, I'm still the guy who likes to feed trolls.

Internet is going to go obsolete inside ten years, and so will internet forums.

But beside that, I'll stay untill I get bored.

I've recently started to get a bit bored of this place. Nothing against the people at all, I honestly think this is one of the best gaming communities I've come across on the Internet, I just am finding that I don't enjoy it as much as I used to.

As much as I can tell I will always be around though, it just might be a long gap between dates is all.
You guys are pretty cool.

I only joined these forums in 2012 because of gta v. I was planning to leave like a month or two before V dropped but I stayed for some reason. I like it here though :)

I never understand this whole "quit the forum" thing.

Even if you are young now and grow out of video games, the forum has more sections than just gaming. There is always something to talk about.

It isn't like you have to devote your life to this forum, you can come and go as you please.

The reason I've been here as long as I have is because the internet is my down time. If I'm at home with no plans, or on break at work browsing on my phone, I am on the internet. So the same way I check Facebook, Twitter ETC, I check the GTAForums. It isn't a case of not having a life, its a case of having a separate online life that I can dip in and out of.

I think it shows a lot of immaturity when users start a job or school, and post threads telling everyone how they're leaving the forums because they will no longer have time to post. To me, it makes no sense.

1) I don't think I'm mentally unwell enough that I'd take my own life.

2) is there a problem with this thread? It's pretty normal compared to my other ones.

3) If youre feeding trolls you're just as bad as them.

I feel like coming and posting every day creates a habit out of it. A couple years ago whenever I'd open a new tab I'd find myself immediately typing out "gtaforums" in the address bar, even if I meant to be going somewhere else. If you really enjoy the site or are wrapped up in obligations to people on the site (like, maybe you run a gang, or are the OP of one of the popular game topics), then it's a lot harder to just decide to leave whenever you want, you're drawn back in by the fun you have here or by the obligations that tie you down to the site.

Some people end up being addicted, but realize that they don't really like being here all that much, and when they try to leave they get pulled back in. I imagine "officially" quitting helps the person feel obligated to leave for good. Requesting a ban would work too, but that would also mean the choice of ever coming back is gone forever.

I think it shows a lot of immaturity when users start a job or school, and post threads telling everyone how they're leaving the forums because they will no longer have time to post. To me, it makes no sense.

Maybe those people feel like they have friends or obligations on the forum and just want to announce that they'd be leaving to tell everyone what's up. If the person feels like they don't have time anymore then they're probably at least trying to make an honest effort to leave.

When I have a decent life, i'm gonna quit my internet life ;)

OR, unless I would be total asshole someday and I get banned. Then I'm out of this forums forever.

OP, if you think 35-40 is old age then you'll be very depressed when you reach that age. ;)

I can honestly say that the real fun in life starts at around 30.

The entertainment that comes from the constantly active GTAO section is what makes this forum amazing.

From geniuses to complete idiots, the community is da sheet.

Of 1 to 3 months having my transcript ready to fly.

I only see off-topic section sometimes, a bit of interest in GTA (except GTA V), but everything changed quickly, oh boy...
