First: No, its not the memory problem. I had that before and fixed it :)

Hello community,

I have a problem with the textures of replaceable police cars for San Andreas. I downloaded them from gamemodding.net using their "ModManager" because I don't know much about modding GTA. Actually, everything works fine, but there seems to be a problem if a car has more colors than one, or text on it, like the police cars do.

Problem description is simple: The downloaded police cars appear just in black in the game. They're fully functional, though. Of course, there should be a big "Police" sign on these cars, and some lines too, but this is not shown for some reason.

I really have no idea what could cause this problem, so I thought someone may have experienced that as well already and can help me :)

If you need any extra infos about my GTA, PC, whatever, just ask.

Thanks in advance,

WhiteT

I got some more information:

Its really strange, if I get very close to these cars, the "POLICE" signs sometimes appear, but disappear again immediately. It seems like there is another black layer above the actual texture. And like I said, this black layer disappears if I like run into the car or jump on it, but only for a few senconds.

Any ideas? Would pictures or videos help?

check your carcols.dat and find

~copcarla  =  los santos

~copcarsf  =  san fierro

~copcarvg = las vegas

~copcarru  =  countryside

change 0,1 to 1,1

Thank you very much for your answer! I'm gonna try that as soon as I can - but I managed to mod my GTA to death some days ago. It keeps freezing after like 1 Minute of gameplay. I think this is because of some vehicle mod, but I need to find out which one first.
