I had a heart attack, looking thru this thread.
Do you need medical attention? Are you okay? Go to the hospital please.

Back in Philippines, we used to had a competition of our spiders. We just catch a harmless spider, feed it then fight it to your opponent. It was fun because most people risked their money betting on it, then years later, some people died from it because there are idiots trying to get red back spider.
Here in Australia, I had few of them in my room but they only appear at night which is pretty f*cking scary. Sometimes I have to sleep on 1am or leave the lights on lol.

This thread name I'm pretty sure was changed.
Yeah, I'm a tad creeped out, my title was nothing like this. It would've been way more appreciative if it was a ninja troll change to the title

can this be a thing?
i love spiders, you should love em too
they take time building their own homes and kill nearly everything we would kill anyways
this one lived in a bush outside my home about a month ago, not sure if its still there, but there are similar spiders living in that bush and damn theyre huge
they are all now my pets, especially one that built its web in an opening on the bush, it looks like a cave and its actually big enough to fit my hand inside
though i wouldnt want to wreck their work
if someone could help me find out what kind of spider it even is, that would be nice, i cant find anything similar
share your spider stories?

I tied a string around a spider once but the outcome wasn't like I imagined, I guess the string is just too heavy for them, there I was with my wild imagination taking it for walks.

I'm just going to merge this with the previous thread.
On topic - I had a large female Brachypelma emilia for a few years until she died during a molt. Great pets and beautiful, too.

Whenever I find a spider, I always make the effort to get it safely outside. I don't encounter them often though and if anything I find them in the bathroom, due to the moisture.

I like spiders, I'm kinda surprised at how many people are downright terrfied of them.

I love spiders! They are my friends. I love them and they love me. 99% of spiders are harmless and pretty much 100% of spiders are scared of us humans. We laugh when an elephant gets scared of a mouse but imagine what it looks like when a human gets scared of something as small as a spider! If I ever get a good picture of one I take it!
Here's one of a few Hentz's orb weavers who took up residence on my front porch:
And here was a beautiful Typewriter Spider mother in front of my basement door. I actually discovered her by walking into her web:
A big and fast House Spider or maybe a Wolf Spider:
A Golden Silk Orb-Weaver in Mexico:
And a cute little Jumping Spider that accompanied me on a grocery run. The clerk didn't appreciate that I had him on my cart riding shotgun:
And if you don't like spiders, here's a Lime Hawk Moth!
