It would be amazing. Same format as the mobile site, but with expandable menus for sections, profile, notifications, etc. Hell, make it a paid app. I'd buy it.

I think there was a topic about a GTAForums mobile app. They said that it would be the same as the mobile version, anyway.

I like the idea of a mobile version as im on mobile (Ipad mini IOS), but ive tried using the mobile version of this site and ive got to say, i dont have a clue what im doing as the origonal site works fine,(though some buttons you may have to zoom your page in, in order not to hit another button but you get used to it.)

Why do people keep suggesting to make things paid? Shh when its paid then you'll complain why are you charging us.

Im PRO an app so count me in. (Free of course.)

Will the mobile version ever get a button for multi-quoting?

A new modern version of IPB, long-term release, means they can do more because IPB 4.0 is a overhaul from 3.4.6 (current system) and allows them to modify the code without having to take in account that the new IPB could break everything they did so far on the mobile version because the way they coded it used stuff that may, or may not be in the new version.
