I have given up almost all TV and movie watching in favour for Let's Players and video podcasts on Youtube. That combined with gaming and shooting, I barely get a chance to f*cking eat, sleep, look wistfully out of a window, or sit in a garden with a stick anymore.

To make myself occupied, I watch movies, play games (Though gaming is sorta bring for me atm), talk with friends, post on this forum, sleep, sometimes a bit of exercise, Youtube, so many! :p Lazy stuff mostly. Not really that 'hangout' or 'outdoor' type.

And, of course, when summer ends, there's homework, quizzes, and exams, to spend time with. (School starts in less than a week dammit )

I used to play video games and dick around on the internet mostly, but now I'm focusing on drawing a lot more.

It's nice to be able to go back in the sketchbook and see my improvement!

This is actually a very good question.

Because when I'm not at work, the days just... disappear.

Literally Its like wake up, have breakfast "oh look its night time again" And I have done nothing all day.

There is one thing that particularly kept me busy in the last one or two months and that is school, you know, lots of tests, exams and the like. I tried to be successful at them and it worked out pretty well, actually. It's finally over though. Just one month left until the holidays and I won't be doing much in that time other than browsing GTAF as usual, playing videogames again, meeting some pals, partying, et cetera. I have yet to play a handful of games that I bought months ago, so it is not like I haven't anything to do in the next few months.

I've two young kids but when I get free time its usually spent gaming, or on the internet to get the latest foootball and gaming news, I watch the odd film and the occasional Netflix show.

If there's one thing that keeps me busy, that is when I listen all-day on metal music and bang my head in melody.

I keep myself occupied by reading threads on a GTA forum asking what I do to keep myself occupied...

Why would you ever want to 'keep busy'? I get so little free time that when/if I do, I do more or less nothing

Just noticed how everyone seems to do the same. Wake up, gaming, meeting with friends, school,  eat again, go sleep. Wake up, etc.

During most of last 9 months it was school that kept me very occupied. Now I just open the computer and hours fly by. I don't even play games much these days, the internet is enough to entertain me for years.

Browsing the Internet, listen to my favorite records lying, collecting things, reading, drawing, going out occasionally to the real world, video games rarely, working, etc..

I usually do a lap or two at the city park each day. Each lap is 2.4 miles so it's good exercise.

I watch a lot of movies.

I also always carry a small notebook around with me. I'll often occupy myself by drafting scenes or coming up with dialogue which I'll make a note of. Thinking about writing, at least, keeps my mind busy.

If anything I've been struggling to find downtime lately. Between work, a roommate, home maintenence and dealing with friends-- I usually only have the middle of the night to myself, and I try (with little success) to spend that time sleeping.

Back when I had an empty schedule, I'd spent my days playing/writing music, drawing, 3d modeling, reading, playing Fallout or Sim City and pointlessly debating economics on the internet. Yeah I'm SUPER exciting. /rolleyes

I either work out, play games, or if it is late night and there is nothing else to do, start drinking.

It usually involves a combination of drugs, alcohol, playing video games, watching TV, and/or just hanging out with my friends. Of course I can only do these activities when I'm not working at my job, but I suppose you can add "work" to the list too.

Actually with social contacts. I talk a lot, especially to those I don't actually even know. I have my job, pets, household, daughter and my favorite TV-series with needleworks, knitting, little things I need to fix in my home... and bathroom pipes keeps me tearing my hair and calling property maintenance screaming: "I didn't put anything weird into the sink. This time either! Why can't you just renovate our bathroom if there is no the right kind of spare parts?!". I'm also going to open university to study psychology. Two occupations are not enough, especially in secundary education...

Well, gotta smoke a cigarette. That feels like a obligation nowadays too :panic:

Haha, well, circa 2011, everything was long winded. That's the only way I can justify having written 210,000 words in the space of a month. Then, I started to experiment with minimalism, which ... well ... needs more work ...

But, so much of what I seem to have written down now is just the bare bones of a scene - like I say, the dialogue, most notably, since it's just meant to be this natural back and forth between characters that I don't want to fine tune right away, it gives a feel for the chemistry between those characters, which really, informs everything else in the scene. I'll see what I can dig up. (:
