So since this was patched due to a glitch, what's the point of having another thread about it? Will you guys continue working on the mod to get it?

Has anyone noticed that there are TWO banner hotels just outside of Ludendorff?

I was having the same problem as you, the game is crashing on loading screen right?

 

It's not simply "copy and paste" as ZZCool told on description, you must copy everything inside NY folder and paste to your GTA IV folder, with exception of PC folder.

 

You will only enter on downloaded PC folder and copy "Data" folder and paste it inside of your GTA IV "PC" folder, overwhriting only data folder. After this, wou will execute the game by the launcher as administrator, it'll work with you. :D

You can drag and drop the folders into the root folder of your gme. When it asks to merge folders/replace files you click yes. Then you apply the new script.img, then add all the new files from the NYFix.rar.

That building on the left comes with the stock North Yankton map. GTA Ludendorff redid the town of Ludendorff and added the two new towns of Vauschen and Lothshire.

Lothshire was based off of Enumclaw, Washington while Vauschen was a neo-nazi campsite that the source of most of Rick Chance's problems.

I plan on releasing the Source Code of the engine when I feel it's ready. The map on the other hand will be donated to someone with proper capabilities who can/will with continue the mod.

There is only the 'data'folder inside 'PC', so what difference does it make if you copy the PC folder or just the data folder?

It's indeed an overlay for alpha textures, some new tech that V is using and not present in IV.

 

Btw, for anyone that is encountering crashes during loading, ensure that:

 

- You are using the latest patch, 1070. This mod is not compatible with any older patch, nor EFLC.

- When you start the games launcher exe, you should hear a beep (windows error sound), this confirms it loads the .ASI provided with the mod. 

- You don't have any saves in your documents folder, when using xlive.dll

Its just a scene I set up for fun. Hopefully someone can eventually convert the snowy patrol vehicles so it looks a lot less weird, or SkylineGTRFreak could release his police-spec Canis Seminole. I asked him if he was planning to do anything with it but he hasn't responded yet. (placeholder skin)

Since I have no plans on releasing GTAL at the moment, why not release a pack for ZZ's North Yankton mod? Paths, vehicles, V weapons, etc.

Yeah, I was gonna say that before you beat me to it at the end. He never reads his PMs and every time he comes on Skype, he just goes offline. Shame really, I like the cars he gives us.

You could download a few cars and make your own North Yankton State Patrol skins for them or edit the default police livery texture.
