I know it's unrealistic, but I was just thinking about how most of my frustration with combat in this game comes from the fact that before you even have time to react to being shot one time, you're dead, because it only takes a second or third shot to kill you with MOST guns in the game. Even WITH armor.

So would it make things a bit less frustrating if you were just a bit stronger and able to react to being shot before being instantly killed?

Would you prefer that only the AI do less damage?

Do you think it would make combat even more frustrating, having to pump more than a few rounds into someone to kill them?

I personally think being able to take just a wee bit more damage would be enough to make things feel a bit more fair. I'm TIRED of being instantly killed with no chance to dive into cover because another player respawns directly behind me.

What do you think? Vote in the poll.

It's fine. If you keep getting killed it's because you're bad

It's the fine way it is, but AI should do less damage to be honest.

Agreed, or at least nerf their accuracy so they can't kill you with a pistol from 300 feet away.

OT: No , OP, it's fine they way it is. Just keep an eye on the map, use cover more.

It's fine. But they should reduce the ridiculous AI aim. I hate when you are getting chased by an AI car and somehow they can bend their bullets around buildings and such bullsh*t coding.

AI accuracy needs to take greater diminishing returns at longer distances.

The fact that you can store multiple body armors now and a sack full of snacks kinda makes this irrelevant.

So no. You don't wanna die, practice menu navigation. It'll save your ass.

i think it's fine really.

more than once i start getting shot from the back and i have time to turn back, roll, draw, aim and kill.

then i realize it's a player and i tell him he sucks because i thought it was the cops.

I don't see a problem with the damage system.

A more important change to the combat system would be fixing the illogical range, damage scaling and crosshair spread: Guns' bullet disappear into thin air after a certain range, even though AI guns don't suffer the same problem. Guns can kill instantly at a certain range and then can't when you are just a tiny distance further away; Their crosshair spread is also a lie, if you zoom in the crosshairs will become smaller even when you bullets are flying everywhere apart from where the crosshair is -.-

Why didn't they take the logical approach call of duty has (excluding shotguns), another popular hitscan based shooting game?

logical and Call of Duty don't belong in the same sentence.

No, it's fine the way it is. The last thing they need to do is put the sh*tty health system from GTA IV back when it took 3 shots to the face to kill somebody.

It's fine, not as great as other games in the series.. but still good enough to not be too annoying, at least with other players... AI is a different story.

its fine... one thing they should do is fix the bodyarmor and give it a buff.

its ridiculous how the armor get depleted by falls or car crashes.

I don't think they should do less damage, but should get an accuracy decrease. Their aim is ridiculously on point, especially at insanely long ranges.

It's not the health, it's the armor that needs a boost. I swear, one shot from a pistol does not take out a super heavy armor.

i think they should be decreased an everyone should have the same ammount. it seems unfair to lower level players that higher levels get more hit points. the odds are already stacked against them having only having the pistol , an micro smg for the first 10 or so ranks( i forget what ranks stuff starts unlocking at)

it'd also be nice if being shot had the same effect as an NPC - shoot someone in the leg an they fall to the ground , shoot them in the arm/shoulder for a chance to make them drop there weapon. it'd also be nice if the lock on system would lock on to grenades in the air so you could shoot them - perhaps at max shooting skill..skills so need some kind of perk as it stands there mostly useless.

As for the armour comment I think Armour should be location based i think as long as its a low caliber round, center mass it should only knock you back/slow you down i don't think it should cause any 'damage'.

They need to nerf blind-firing for AI. In Coveted and other crap, AI can seriously blind-fire you meters away and still hit you.

No, actually health needs to come down. That or ragdolling from getting shot should work. Characters soaking 5 bullets in the chest before dying is stoopid.
