i kinda forgot i joined this crew , anyway i renewed my psplus subscription so i can join meetups, (ps4 tag:exy1134) so in other news, i am also a bit of an old tech enthusiast myself (i own an amiga a500, commodore 64 and zx spectrum +2)
As Braulio says, I'm very much into these as well. Spectrum wise I have a 48k, 128+ (my first Spectrum), 128+2 and a 128 +3. I also have a Sinclair QL which was the "high end" option over the original Spectrum 48. Between the 2 tape drive ones I must have at least 1000 tapes plus at least 30 or so discs for the +3. I think the QL is probably quite rare, it sold in the thousands rather than the millions like the Spectrum. I only bought it because I'd never even heard of one when I first saw it.
Amiga wise I have a 500+ (my first Spectrum) plus a spare, a 600 and a 1200. Plus more discs than I could possibly count between stuff I bought and the rampant copying that went on, no matter how much piracy is present on the internet I don't think there will ever be a match for the Amiga and X-Copy days.
Still have my original PS, PS2 and PS3 plus a fat with all of the PS2 slots that I bought from someone who clearly didn't realise what it was.
Beyond that I've also got a couple of Game Gears, a Game Boy, a couple of Atari Lynx, a CPC464, Vic20 and a few miscellaneous old PCs from 186 through to 486 era. I did have an old BBC Micro and some other thing they used in schools, the name of which escapes me, which ran on 5.25" floppies but somewhere at some point when I've moved they went missing
When I was at Uni originally and working as well it was the days of Yahoo auctions and you could pick stuff up for next to nothing, the +3 was boxed, came with one of the proper guns etc. and I paid something ridiculous like £15 for it and started picking up stuff like the Game Gears and Lynx which I'd always wanted as a kid but could never afford. Even ebay at the time was still excellent for picking up bargains.
It will probably never happen but at some point I really would like to be able to have them all setup permanently and able to be used.
Thoughts on the new car?
I haven't driven it much but it feels really good to drive! It feels planted, as if it was heavy but it's an amazing cruiser that can still get great speed. I'll have to drive it more but the short ride I took impressed me. As far as the other new cars well they're too expensive for me (down to 2mill now) so those will get a pass.
I like it. Good mix of speed and grip but it still slides a lot. Got on with Chubb briefly on Tuesday night, it seems to sit somewhere around Stirling / Pigalle territory performance wise but against the Escort on a tight track with Chubb I was monstering away on the faster bits but the Escort destroyed it on the twisty bits.
Good fun car to drive though and I can have the number 13 on it, although I've still not found a colour that I think quite works on it. Trying to do a bit of a Grabber Blue look but I'm finding the way the skins are for the liveries some of the paints don't look quite right.
Has anyone else noticed it has the worlds shiniest rear bumper as well?
