nope

often times a low level will start the conflict, i'm not going to get in the way of the "griefer" having his revenge.

Any time I see a tank spawn killing groups of people, I usually take the tank out with the jet cannon, but sure enough those same people will be like "a jet! duhrr shoot it" then the tank continues killing them while Im flying away now that the jet is smoking, which is when I say f*ckem.

Yes. Oh yes.

I was watching tv to place a mugger on someone, and I caught a player, a lv 69, going around in a Zantanio, throwing stickies at this same low level player, killing him over and over again. So I phoned up for my tank and went over there (near the beach). I was going to give my tank to the low level, to give the griefer a taste of his own medicine.

The lv 69's back in his Zantino (whateva the f it's spelled), so instead of giving the tank away, I kill the griefer before he can run. Cue a message calling me a fa**ot and to chill. 4 kills later, he goes passive and calls me a pussy for using a tank. I call him a pussy for using a bulletproof backed car and explosives on a player who didn't want to fight and couldn't counter that even if he did, so it was even.

I kill him once more, then leave> I get a message as I dump my tank and head back to watch some tv at the apartment: the person he was killing was he's little cousin - yeah, because THAT makes it alright, doesn't it? I tell him if I catch him spawnkilling low level players again I'll be back to spawnkill him. Cue another bunch of messages from him saying I'm a mo-fo, c*nt, etc etc etc.

If I catch an arsehole online being an arsehole to people who can't even the odds, then I'll do it for them. I honestly don't give a flying f*ck.

The only time I'll actually go out of my way to kill someone is when I see them waiting for people to come out of their garages with RPG's. Other than being followed or attacked myself of course.

I rescued a low level once from a hellish Psycho mental stategun battle at lsc. We went around the map running and keeping safe. When we were cornered with no vehicles I called up a merry heli to escape, and right before it touches down, thinking it was a random thing maybe? the kid shoots it down. He obviously didn't know much about gtao. This was my first actual use of the facepalm action ever.

i was just wondering if you or if you seen other players come to the aid of low level noobs you get attacked by griefers in gtao?

I do. If some 200+ is griefing a lvl 5 that's obviously not looking for a fight, I'll get involved. For great justice and puppies and sh*t.

If there's a cluster of people in one area
I just roll up in a tank and blast everything

yeah, some times i feel like helping low levels.

yesterday 3 players in their level 50's were griefing this 2 low level(3 & 11) i was near so i when there smacked the wannabe griefers and proceed to escort this low levels for a couple minutes. gift them money and all that stuff.

i was in that mood... but 99% of the time, im the griefer!

evenknow i try not to attack people below level 20. thats just completely unfair.

Never actually tried to interfere with other people's problems because I don't know what happened earlier and who started and who kept going.

Just because a lower rank guy is getting killed a bunch of times doesn't mean he didn't do anything to deserve it. No need to punish the punisher.

And I would never help a noob. A newb(ie), however...

Besides, the only thing I hear coming out of microphones (from people not in my crew or friends list) is gibberish, background noise, babytalk, screaming and background noise/feedback/etc. Never heard anyone call for help. And most children I've seen in games are twats who aren't grateful for anything.

I'm surprised you guys found children in need that you could help without getting screwed over by them afterward. Or even during.

Spawn killing groups of people? Not just a person but groups, and plural? They must not even be trying to get away, or to enter passive mode.

But intelligence or effort aside, jets are more dangerous than a tank. Perhaps they decided to temporarily ignore the tank

If I was fighting (define fighting, man vs. machine) a tank and a jet swooped down and opened fire, I would not assume the jet was friendly. Usually people are just opportunistic and will shoot at anything and anyone who isn't in cover.

What I'm saying is, everyone is an enemy by default. If you didn't let them know beforehand you were coming to help them, you can't blame them for opening fire on you AS WELL as the tank.

Sounds like a nice gesture, though. Props. To you.

Do people honestly think people under level 20 has a unfair advantage?

Ever since the Bullpup Rifle came out they can match any level 70.

I will not help out lower levels. From my experience I will drive up to a lower level seeing what they're doing and they will always shoot at me. So in order to teach them a lesson I will spawn kill them 5-9 times until they go into pussy mode ( aka Passive mode )

The only way you will get better at this game is fight those who are better than you.

I have only helped a low level out once or twice in the past but then one day when I was looking for a Tailgater when some player fresh out of the tutorial kept following me shooting at me with the pistol even though I was in passive mode. What made it worst was that he had a Tailgater himself, the urge to blow that car up and spawn kill him.

edit: most low levels cause their own problems anyway

I do, when I see someone under level 15 being killed repeatedly on my screen, sometimes I'll look on my map to see what direction they're facing and if he's trying to run away without success

Normally I'll send mercenaries for the person, just to give the noob a fighting chance to Atleast run away

With that being said, low level players seem to be devoted to trying to be a nuisance sometimes, if someone with a paultry level tries me I'll grief em till they leave

I will ride by in whatever patrol vehicle I'm at the time. Typically it's the one that is first to aim at me that gets shot if they don't comply with my commands or they try to unload some lead into me. I get any other backup units I have available in the lobby over where I'm at. If they keep attempting to shoot at me or my Deputies, I will shoot back in self-defense.

Teach them a lesson? If you approached them, shooting you is merely the safe thing to do.

Most people are hostile. Assuming they'll leave you alone when they come near is plain stupid.

The only time I don't open fire on incoming players is when I'm with friends/crewmembers and we outnumber the new arrival(s).

They'll be less likely to attack and even if they do, there's a pretty good chance we'll retaliate succesfully.

Also, those better than you, beat you. That's why they're better than you. Because they'll win. Practice makes perfect and you work your way up to their level, THEN you fight and hopefully beat them.

No. Tried to help them only to get knife'd in the back, or rather shot in the head or run over.

Retaliate back after their betrayal, get greeted by their mispelled and hard to understand foul language message. The price for my kindness.

If I'm driving my car by them and they shoot they will die. I follow this code every-time I play the game. The only time I will not shoot them is for TWO reasons:

1) If they have a tank. Sure I have a tank myself but I'm not going to waste my time getting it just to kill them. I use to and it isn't fun.

2) Is if they out number me. Unless they're killing my friends I will leave them alone. If they are I will bring out the tank and watch how fast they go into pussy mode which they need to fix. If you are red then you should not be allowed to go into that mode.

How do people get better at playing the game? Fighting the AI only does so much. People use the cheapest things to get better.

Like the heavy sniper, advance rifle, tank, ap pistol in cars, also sticky bombs.

Newb - someone who is new to the game.

Noob - someone who has played awhile but still doesn't fully know the game, an usually goes out of there way to inconvience others - in a troll like manner.

theres a difference!

anyway..Nope in my experience if you go to help someone in GTA  the person you just helped shoots/kills you so it doesn't seem worth the effort especially since the person you killed trying to help will just respawn 100 yards away. which makes killing people pointless since more often then not people trying to be A-holes tend to be lifeless an continue no matter how many times you kill them.

Now and again, if they start doing jerking/air thrusting motions at my female character I wait til they've built up enough trust and with their back to me I bring out my silenced AP to put two in their head then tell them I "dropped my controller".

I aid the noob being griefed. I do it in the following ways:

1. Run the griefer over in my fully modded Phoenix to give him a taste of his own medicine.

2. Snipe the griefer (Always pisses them off).

3. Team up with the noob and double team the griefer.

4. Airlift a car in using a cargobob and drop it on the griefer.

5. The same as 4 but with the griefers Personal Vehicle.

I generally go out of my way to help anyone, usually they just shoot at me when I approach them, though. Then I'll just pop them in the head otherwise I'll run around with them for awhile and maybe do some missions with them. If they're being flat out raped by some dicks I'll grab a tank and even the score. :)

They're going to shoot at you if you don't somehow let them know you're coming to help them. That's logical.

Can't expect anyone to magically know you're not hostile in a game where 99% of the time, people ARE hostile.

A real griefer won't let you beat them at their own game so that's outs lol & the biggest noobs are high levels

And if its a low level they probably started it & secondly they will shoot YOU when you try to help because actual new players are the most aggressive players.
