I like the Broker/Dukes area the best. I tend to do that with games where I find I really like and have a connection with the first part of the map you start in.

I think they're all great in their own way, but I have to go with Broker/Dukes. Firefly Island, Hove Beach, Steinway, Meadow Hills etc.

It's just my favourite place to be.

I enjoy North Holland, plenty of activity up there. Bohan has a nice vibe to it, feels like the only missing piece of the puzzle, because of how run down it is. I like Alqonquin though, very busy place makes Niko fee irrelevant.

Always has been Algonquin for me, biggest place, a lot of people, a lot of stuff to do. I like the missions there too, even more with TBOGT.

Broker/Dukes. It just feels like home :)

Algonquin comes in close second though.

I've never had that much love for Bohan, but I like it more than Alderney. The industrial areas of Alderney are my least favourite parts of the map to be honest.

I love South Bohan for some reason. maybe its the rundown dangerous vibe I get from it. i also like North Holland and East Holland in Algonquin.

I spent most of my time in Algonquin so I'm kind of attached to it. But I have good memories of all places in GTA IV.

Alderney. A small uptown area, a little splash of upper-class suburbia, the rows of flaming smokestacks, and the Lost clubhouse where I load my game from.

Alderney, just seems the most realistic of the three in terms of what it incorporates and how each little area is separated. Not to mention there's an array of scenic beach-side cliffs, lots of secret areas to explore (the beached barge, the abandoned casino and Spunk factory). My only issue is the freeway system, almost as confusing as GTA V's.

Broker. Hove Beach is my main hangout spot, especially Firefly Island. But then Algonquin is a very close second, as EagleStrike says, I like East and North Holland too.

I like Alqonguin & Bohan. Nice combinations of ghetto and luxury between the two islands.

Broker.  Hove Beach is on the money for me.  Straight off the boat I fell in love with the entire area.  Firefly Island, the beach, and the subway station makes the area feel complete, like home.  Bohan is rough and tough and makes a great place to explore.

Since I'm from manhattan , I got to say Algonquin .. The only safe house I use is playboy x house , and holland is where I spend most of my time free roaming the many projects and starting trouble .. Bohan is my second favorite island and I got to say that the only reasons I like these 2 islands is because I feel a personal connection ( family is from Harlem and the Bronx ) I never really been to Brooklyn or queens so I can't really connect with them like I do all the other places in the game

Alderney. Only because it represents my home state, New Jersey.

The Westdyke section seems to represent most of Bergen County, which is full of affluent townships and boroughs.

Another Jerseyan here too hmm? ;)  I liked Alderney too, but my vote was cast for Algonquin. The real replica of Manhattan was well done by Rockstar. From the top of the map, to even the bottom, I loved it all - even the Holland Tunnel/Booth Tunnel thing. It was pretty cool.

Yup, the best state in America.

Manhattan was very accurate based on my experiences actually being there. I wish they had other landmarks like Madison Square Garden but otherwise I agree, it was definitely done well by Rockstar.

I like Alderney, but mostly because it reminds me the most of an actual city. You know, good suburbs, decent downtown, port, etc.

I like all of the map to be honest. I do however feel that Bohan, Broker and Dukes should have been much larger. On the other side of the Humboldt River, New Alderney should have been at least twice the size and have their own police vehicles (I am a stickler for that sort of thing).

Cheers.
