WFT/XFT to DFF

YFT converter just stops responding when YFT file is dragged to converter.

Am I missing something or does converter only go one way? I can convert ydr to dff which I can import into blender using python script but it doesn't convert DFFs back to ydr when you're done working on them. So...... what's the point? Is this script for people who are taking meshes and textures from GTAV and porting them over to other rockstar games or is there a tool I'm missing or something about this toolset I missed that can get my DFFs converted back to YDRs?

I cant use this because im using xp. when i launch it a get an error message saying "(dir of file)\ytdydryddyft2txddffcol.exe is not a valid win32 application. pls help!

the wft to dff got this error:

 

ERROR: There was not enough room in the output buffer

 

could you kindly let me know how to fix that myself? like how to increase output buffer?

Some critical bug was fixed, now it must process .ydd models without problems.
Also, for future bug reports please create an 'issue' here.

Also, do not forget to select the needed settings file.
By default, it converts all models into one mesh ("settings_building").
If you want to extract vehicle parts and vehicle colors, use file from "settings_vehicle" folder.
If you want to extract bones, use file from "settings_skin" folder.
 
I'm not planning to update IV resource converter.

it says "system error: msvcp140.dll is missing from your computer"

i downloaded the file twice and it's not there. what should i do?

edit: sorry i just had to update my c++. thanks

Vehicles are still single mesh even with GeneralSettings.ini from settings_vehicle dir. Not good.  :/

 

Edit.

Alright. I figured out what causes the issue.

 

1. Geometry file and GeneralSettings.ini should be in same dir otherwise it will export vehicle as single mesh (something wrong with %cd% variable).

2. You should manually set "bExportSkeleton" to "0" in GeneralSettings.ini.

First of all I would like to congratulate DK22PAC for such an awesome tool!!!.

 

Anyone else have issues with certain vehicle models? If bExportSkeleton = 1 is selected it simply crashes the extract tool. Having downloaded the source it seems the vertices info isnt being extract correctly. Any pointers? Could it be some form of locking on these models?

You must to reverse (flip) the normal, in addition to faces, or re-calculate. :)
