I thought the purpose of this thread was to rate the art above you....

I would rate highway to hell meh 3/10. Nothing special about it.

I think this one from my favourite afr band is pretty creative. You can choose which picture to display on the cover. Over the years i've lost one of the pictures though. Lyrics are on the back of these

I've always been a fan of the style of Guided By Voices' album art.

Maybe I'm just biased but this artwork speaks to me.

Hands down the best album cover to date. G Herbo has always been a story teller, but I never expected such symbolism from him.

They are pretty simple. Though I really like how some of the singles had variants.

Variants from Singles:

Ribbons. It's nothing that special to be fair. Well, I'm a fanboy anyway.

I always thought the Late Night Tales albums had some great artwork, some of them really do capture the nature of the music chosen. For those that are unaware, Late Night Tales is an on-going run of compilations that select one artist/band and have them choose tracks that they particularly enjoy, or they feel have inspired them somehow. They're almost always brilliant and interesting, allowing you a glimpse into the tastes of some of the most prolific artists. Sometimes, there's even an exclusive track by the artist themselves.

I'm meaning to get a book about Storm Thorgasen's life (I'm probably spelling it a bit wrong)

Storm and Abrey Powell (again not sure about spelling as I type this from memory) The two main 60s art prodigies behind the best album art studio of all time...arguably of course....

Pink Floyd and others benefited from their rather ground breaking approach of leaving the band to the inner sleeve, if even there!

Storm passed away a few years ago, but the book of their art isn't the only one I've paged over. Back in the early 1980s a coffee table book I can't recall any longer, other then my distinct memory of seeing it, features many Rock era album art, including Girlschool and Wishbone Ash.

I thought it was very much worth a look at, but sadly, it was very long ago. So many more book stores seemed to exist in the 70s and 80s...

Also sadly, did true Album Artwork

6/10. That's interesting.

I f*ckin' love this. It looks old school as hell, but it's not.
