Newcastle sign Colback, their first non French signing in 56 years or something like that. The Sunderland fans will love him for that.

Lol why would he even put himself through that. Is he a Newcastle fan or something? That's the only way I could see them accepting him. I know he's from the area so it's possible. If he's a known Sunderland fan AND played for them then they'll warm to him like a group of parents would warm to a known paedophile.

Edit: Just realised he's ginger too. God help him.

This is 13 minutes you have to set aside and watch, it is just sums absolutely everything up as to why FIFA can go f*ck themselves with a bee-sting infested cactus

Just when I was about to post something sensible... A wild Hodgey appeared.

Qatar, Sepp Blatter as a whole, Champions League fixing (though not yet uncovered), I could go on till the day van Gaal becomes friendly. You can bet it won't happen.

And the thing is that they don't even listen. Arena Corinthians is still under maintenance and we're only two days away. f*ckers never learn, do they?

Apparently FA Vice-Chairman David Gill stormed out of a meeting today demanding Blatter doesn't stand for the next FIFA election. Good man.

The claims of racism are ridiculous. He's totally grasping at straws.

I kind of fear that even if he does step down it won't solve the corruption issues, because it seems to be rotten throughout and simply replacing the guy at the top might not actually change all that much.

So by Step Ladders way of thinking it's racist to be against bribery, corruption and allowing to host and therefore backing slave states like Qatar.

Well I guess that makes me and pretty much everyone else who has a brain and sense of decency a racist then... oh well guys it was nice knowing you I'll have to go hand myself into the police for being a racist son of a bitch then

There's a designated world cup topic my man, but sadly no. I was trying to save for 3 years through University to go but couldn't get the ~£4000 I'd need to for 2 weeks in Rio. Huge shame.

He's a c*nt. Hilarious that he still maintains that FIFA is a non-profit organisation. I hope he and the rest of the FIFAs corrupt leadership gets banged up in jail.

The thing I find funny is how the Qatar bid people are saying that it should still go ahead because "they had nothing to do with the corruption". They say it was just Mohammed Bin Hammam, the Qatari head of the Asian Football Confederation and that they had nothing to do with it. But surely it shouldn't matter where the corruption came from or who was perpetrating it, they still benefited from it. If someone steals something and gives it to you, even if you don't know it's stolen you still have to f*cking give it back. Although I'm pretty sure that the bid people were also heavily involved in the corruption anyways.

FIFA are just so corrupt it's not even funny. It's not necessarily something overt like actual bribing, but just the way it's run with a small number of people having a ridiculous amount of power. Unfortunately when that happens and that power is concentrated in the hands of idiots you get things like Qatar being awarded a world cup. The 24 man executive committee that makes all the big decision including voting on who gets the world cup consists of countries like Burundi, Papua New Guinea and The Cayman Islands. Yet countries like The Netherlands, England and Italy have no representation.

The senior vice president of FIFA Julio Grondona, who's an Argentine, when asked about who he voted for in the 2022 bid said:

Yes I voted for Qatar, because a vote for the US would be like a vote for England, and that is not possible {...} But with the English bid I said: Let us be brief, if you give back the Falkland Islands, which belong to us, you will get my vote. Then they became sad and left.

He also made this remark in 2003:

I do not believe a jew can ever be a referee at this level. It's hard work, and you know, jews don't like hard work.

Seriously, look him up. To not only have this man on the executive committee, but for him to be the senior vice president is a f*cking joke. It just says it all really. They're like a f*cking goddamn parody of themselves.

FIFA needs to be reworked completley, as alot of us have known for some time now. As the people in charge at the moment have lost touch with reality.

I never really liked Sepp Blatter tbh, he is always moaning and complaining while doing really nothing about football at all.

Not only is it petty and stupid, but pretty sure that goes directly against FIFA's own policy of not allowing politics to interfere with football. But who's really surprised??

Sepp is just the tip of the iceberg. Like others said, the whole organization needs to be gutted. That Jerome Valcke, ugh. What a slimey c*nt. Every time I see his face I hate the earth.

Blatter is such an egomaniac and hypocrite. Remember before 2010 when he didn't want goal-line technology? Then the Germany- England game happened, and he came out saying we need it now. And then playing the racism card for this current corruption allegation, my god he has totally ruined the reputation of FIFA and made them a joke amongst the footballing world. He needs to see that he has lost support of 75% of the football world, UEFA has said they no longer support him and FIFA sponsors are calling for investigations into corruption. He really needs to stand down.

i'm not being funny but arsenal turned down the chance to sign him, they had a clause in the barcelona contract which said they'd have first rights to cesc. arsenal can suck a dick in my opinion, they have absolutely nothing to moan about here.

I guess you can shoot him now. That's if what I'm reading on FB is true. But then again, Eto'o said he would never play for a club like Chelsea. It's all about the money these days, do denying that. Although, lets face it, Fabregas has more chance of winning trophies with Chelsea than Arsenal so it's not really mind-boggling that he chose to come to Stamford Bridge.
