Son, that's a fact. Don't expect the casinos to be Online-exclusive though.

You're only starting to get nervous now? It's been pretty obvious since September/October that Rockstar don't give a sh*t about SP anymore. They've hardly said a word about GTA V (sp) since it came out. It's been all GTAO this GTAO that. They are focusing on it more than SP. Well, honestly, what can they really do with SP apart from patch it up and they've done that (inside patches for GTA O).

SP is an alright game but it could have been SO MUCH better. There are a lot of features missing from it that are present in GTA O. Rockstar chose not to include these features in GTA V. It's the only answer since they could be easily implemented. I'm talking about stuff like: purchaseable apartments, in game inventory where you can easily wear hats/glasses or smoke/eat/drink things. Damn you can even set the GPS to direct you to your home, ammunation or LSC shop. Also, they have insurance for cars in GTA O but not in SP. In GTAO you buy insurance in LSC. Why can't this be done in GTA V? Rockstar don't want that feature in GTA V. Simple as that.

It's well known that GTA O is Rockstar's way to make money between GTA releases (III > IV > V). As if they don't have enough money already! But hey they are a BUSINESS and are here to MAKE MONEY, that's their game. They can afford to release all these free updates for GTA O such as beach bum, business, high life and heists in the future. But don't kid yourself on. Rockstar WILL eventually start charging for these updates as DLC. You won't be getting them for free anymore as patches. People WILL buy these because well...it's GTA. On top of all this there are microtransactions and people are buying them already.

GTA is changing. It is also well known that Rockstar and/or TakeTwo want to bring out GTA games more often. Every 2-3 years or so instead of the usual 4-5 years. I think we'll see GTA VI around 2016 which isn't that far away. Usually we'd be looking at something like 2018 if we went by the 4-5 year release. This isn't good at all. Either they are going to hire 1000 more devs or it means they are scaling down. No huge story or map. Just a short single player game with a new location. All the fun stuff will be in GTA O.

Eventually it'll get to the point where there is no point in them even releasing a GTA game anymore. It'll just be GTA Online. No more single player. You want to play? Buy it for £30/40, subscribe to DLC/updates and buy stuff such as ammo/clothes/cars etc using microtransactions. Some sort of MMORPG. That seems to be where Rockstar are taking GTA.

So yeah, I bet that casino is gonna be GTA Online exclusive. You want a casino in SP? hahahaha.

Say goodbye to GTA as we know it. This is just the beginning!

perhaps I should have stated that "talk me down" was a metaphorical statement ......more or less I meant I was hoping for some sort of reassurance that as far as the cool content that SP would not get the shaft.....but I keep forgetting that the internet is filled with the most miserable hateful jackals.....not sure if I was more impressed by the people actually encouraging an individual to commit suicide or the stereotypical cliché sarcasm....for the folks who actually gave a constructive response....thank you

It's possible a spin-off GTA will be released in 2015/2016 and GTA VI will come out in 2018. Think about it, how long did it take for them to release GTA IV after III's release? Almost 7 years, but that's also because III and IV were released on separate consoles, so it took them that long to develop IV since they had to familiarize themselves with the "current-gen" hardware. Now that "next-gen" is released, it'll take them a while to familiarize themselves with that hardware. Plus, since Xbox One and PS4 are even more hardcore than 360/PS3, they'll probably want to make VI an even bigger game than V, but in the mean time, a small spin-off game should keep us happy until VI comes out.

I do agree with what you said about GTA O being the "future" for Rockstar though, it's a constant flow of income for them, and they know even with all these small free DLCs, they're not losing money on it.

Hi yopitstank, a moderator has changed the topic title of your thread, hopefully this will avoid further unpleasant spam.

Unfortunately, I fear that R* really are investing heavily in GTAO, to the detriment of SP.

What usual 4-5 years? GTA used to be released every two years up until GTA IV where it was three, then five with GTAV. Vice City was only a year apart from III.

In the SD era of gta they could produce them in shorter periods of time because the weren't reinventing the wheel with those iterations. R* wasn't making us wait for that long to be sadistic.....with gta 5 they created THREE fully fleshed characters that were motion captured. My god I think people don't realize how game programing works.....the world they built probably took four year just itself, the npc dialogue, mini games, etc. I have no complaints about the game itself.....I just don't want SP to get left out in cold as far as DLC

I know how game DEVELOPMENT, not programming works. I was simply correcting him. There is no "usual" 4-5 years.

Exactly, which is why they could produce a smaller game than even GTA IV in just a couple years (it's called a spin-off), and the next big GTA game, possibly even bigger than V, will of course take about another 5 or so odd years to make.

Rockstar wants us to think they aren't leaving out SP since they keep saying "...and some very exciting Story Mode DLC...", but what's wrong with adding little things like they do with Online? And I'm not talking about just a few cars and guns, I'm talking about new features, like maybe more activities and also maybe some extra storage space for our vehicles.

Since the engine is built now it is conceivable that they could do something like vice city was to gta 3 but I thought I read somewhere that they only want to do gta 6, 7 etc now I could be wrong but I thought I read that

I hope we dnt wait 5 yrs for the game we've been waiting for again.I thought IV was going to be that but the map was too small. Then we all thought V was and it was just for a big map with features from IV cut-out, but hey I guess I'll play GTAO for some 10 yr old with no life overpower me w/ a rocket launcher while all I have is a 9mm cuz I work and have a life.

A lot of people are saying that SP is getting abandoned, but, a lot of people are underage spoiled brats who don't know what a "development cycle" is and are too young for rated-M games anyway.

We haven't even gotten a title for the SP expansion, let alone a trailer, but we know it's coming because there's still open slots for upcoming DLC items that haven't been filled, so we know something's planned to go there.  And God only knows what the expansion will bring.  There's sort of a number of theories, here's a quick list of the leading ones:

-A fully explorable North Yankton

-A prequel to GTAV about Johnny and the Lost and their downward spiral

-More LS gang warfare with the Families, Ballas, Vagos, Aztecas and everyone else

-Returning characters possible including CJ and/or Niko

-Jetpack

Will you please stop posting in threads where you have no information to back up your ridiculous claims? Either there will be, or won't be, but only Rockstar knows. Don't assume there won't be until they announce that there will be no casinos.

They also never said anything about owning multiple properties in Online either until we saw an announcement, so the same can be said about anything. They could randomly post "Casino DLC coming this date" or they could post "There will never be casinos for so and so reason". We don't know until they say something.

The only way I could see that being possible is if they do not change the engine again....BUT now with xone and ps4 out the next gta installment will be on those consoles I would not expect another gta maybe for the next 7-10 years

I know its irretating, the wait and stuff, but either go out and ride your bike ( No, I am not being sarcastic I am serious) or play another game, or do something else. I am doing that, and its better. I am playing Max Payne 3, and RDR (Great games btw.) And Last Of us

New gen are basically non upgradable pcs. There's nothing to get familiar with. It's not like they're like the PS3 and they have to learn as they go. The technology has been there for years, but the public just had to wait until M$ and Sony were ready

Another new thread stating how disappointing GTA V is to join the numerous ones that have come and gone on this site. But the usual RDF crowd will be invading this place soon to implement damage control and scream at us that it's the best GTA ever made and nearly everyone likes it.
