Where have you been? In 2014? VCS conversion it's dead since a looong time.

Like a year or two. Does ANYBODY (also R*) work on GTAVCS port right now or is vcs totally DEAD? I believe the second one.

The problem with VCS is that everything is hidden in the zlib-compressed game.dtz. There are some russian resources, but they don't say much. So, unless it gets an iOS/Android release, we won't be seeing any conversion soon :/

And even then, no one will invest time into doing missions, etc, so it'll be a case like LCS where we have the map/vehicles/etc ported, but with a pretty much blank SCM.

I'm currently restarting my effort in documenting LCS opcodes with the knowledge I have gained since the last time I did that, so maybe we will have some missions converted over.

I don't know if it will be useful, but I tried to update LCSSCM.INI and VCSSCM.INI for better script readability. Maybe it can help.

You're right, AJDAR. (lol Ajdar) There is a topic of LCS and it looks like nobody gives a **** about VCS, so it's the best thing to lock it until somebody works on it.

There already exists GTA 1 and GTA 2 conversions. People lost interest in them rather quickly every time it's brought up.

the GTA 1 conversion I tried leading ended up dying off because people had other things to do, like this dead stories mod  :whistle:
