Hopefully posting "cash cards" or "because cash cards" is considered spam. That drives me batsh*t crazy that people still do it and think they are being funny/cute. Ffs.

at least 'pre-order cancelled' died out right...

Oh, no, that's the only one we still allow.

I'm being facetious, for all those keeping score out there.

Where do we check on mobile if we get warnings. Lol.

I know there's like a member log thingy on the full site but I'm nearly always on mobile.

Maybe mods shouldn't be offended if someone insults them.  My opinion.

The only thing that offends me in this thread is your constant ankle biting. Stay on topic or GTFO, darkwar.

Well, you shouldn't be offended.  No one who has power should take offense to anything.  And that is logical.

Perhaps there could be a section or a pinned thread for speculative topics. This forum in recent months has been much less on the "informative" side of things (with the exception of seawalls excellent threads) and leaning more towards guessing and predictions of future content. I like to sit and think of what could be just as much as the next person, but I feel that the first page of the forums should not be dominated by threads of this nature. Just my thoughts.

Has nothing to do with being offended. It's in the rules, which you agree to abide by when using this free service, clear as crystal.

  • No Flaming language or comments that are antagonistic, provocative, slanderous, derogatory, abusive, aggressive or confrontational
  • No Hate Speech discriminatory language or comments towards certain groups; such as racism, sexism or homophobia

And

Breaking these rules will result in a Reminder, Warning, Temporary Ban or Permanent Ban being issued by a Moderator. Your Member Log keeps a record of this.

Action taken is at the Moderator's discretion and judgement, but is based on the severity of your rule violation, how often it may be occurring and your Member Log history.

But it's your forum, so feel free to moderate it how you like. :)

I got one for for a giving the OP a certificate in appreciation for service to cool stories in the same thread.

I personally have no problem with this(because I still have yet to master how to post pics'n'such from my phone). What I have a problem with are the members who act like moderators. Will this be addressed as well?

Please report them, and we'll deal with in a discreet back alleyway.

Will do. Anything I deem as spam will get reported.

You guys gotta learn to control your spam needs. Just socialize in the General Chat section and it's fine. Let's leave this place for GTAO talk only... and avoid the memes...

I will miss those hilarious perfect reaction gifs every now and then

But I understand, as a whole it can be very excessive and mostly unhumorous

I don't get the gif hate.

2psh8ph.gif

Sometimes that gif reply is all that is need. Ever heard 'A picture is worth a 1000 words' (in this case a gif is).

I have no problem with this. Only picture only replies I do are in topics of the 'show your car' or 'snapmatic' variety, which I would assume does not count as gif spam.

Gifs provide a new level of insightful humor to the forums. Some of them are hilarious, and so perfectly placed within their respected threads.

I remember the major gif spam in the months before the games release, all the mods had left the site and it was a hilarious underground back alley of gif powered mega trolls. Good times...

Hey mate, just wondering something:
What if the gifs actually have to do with the topic at hand? I completely understand ones that have nothing to do with it.
But honestly, the gifs are one of the best things about Internet forums.
Is it spam if they have to do with the thing at hand? As long as it still conveys a point I see no reason for punishment.

The most memorable, ban-magnet gif got to be this one (I remember them because I was a guest here):
