Has anyone seen Map Crunch? - It's basically Google street view but it spawns you on a random street somewhere around the world. (Or certain countries if you check them)

http://www.mapcrunch.com/

Where did you spawn? Also, if you're looking for a challenge try and find your way to an airport from the place you spawned, it drives you nuts.

(By the way, whenever you visit the website it always spawns you at that beach with the fence and the birds, you just need to press go)

Yeah it always places you there whenever the website loads, if you press go it generates a random location.

First random draw sent me to Andorra which I've never heard of and then Australia...to a random lot number 155326 lol. Find an airport? That would probably take days. Interesting see in quick pics of other places though. God soon we won't have to think about anything. We'll just have to ask a computer.

Regional Road 35, Chelmsford, Canada. Perhaps the bleakest and most uninspiring ribbon of tarmac on earth.

Didn't check what the street name was, but my first location was some where in Latvia. It's taken me mainly through Europe, I just keep clicking now to browse through.

I'm a city person, but my, there are some very remote but beautiful places in the world. I just got put somewhere in Chile and it's so deserted it almost looks like those Mars planet pictures.

I put the settings on Aus and urban to see how long it would take to go on my city, it was less than 1 min and just 13 clicks.

On a road in the middle of a semi forested area somewhere in the middle of nowhere in Russia. I would post the name but it is in Russian Characters.

Second one was a lonely road in the middle of nowhere in Lesotho.

Third one was a suburban styled area in Singapore.

Some more interesting ones were a dark creepy forest in Switzerland. And a dirty slum in Peru. This is really cool thanks for pointing it out.

First one were some ruins in New Delhi. Pretty cool place in all honesty.

Second one was some farmland in Denmark, surrounded by modern wind farms.

Third one was a gravel road in Peru with electric fences on each side...

I got the same place twice in a row on my first two tries. Second time around, some crap-looking town in Russia. Third time around, a desert road in Lesotho.

I'm starting to think this isn't as capable as it may seem. Most of the locations you get are similar to each other and I have gotten a lot of the same places as some other people here.

For me it leaned mostly to Finland, Lesotho and Botswana. With a sprinkling of Eastern Europe. I only got 2 in the US after about 250 clicks which doesn't seem realistic to me considering the US probably has the most Street View images by far.

But I have gotten some of the EXACT same places as other people on here. So it leads me to believe this is a very early WIP and they sare adding in new stuff. It doesn't access Google maps and randomly place a pegman like I originally thought it did.

I got many random places like even a water route somewhere in Indonesia ( I think ) , Russia, Spain, Etc, and also I tried getting a location the closest to where I live. So far it was this place outside of Edmonton, AB.
