[WIP|GTA4] Speedometer Mod

Description:

This mod will add an analogic and digital speedometer, an RPM Gauge with a Gear Box, a Turbo Gauge and some userful indicators.

 

How to install

- Install the Asi loader and the ScriptHook;
- Extract the "scripts" folder into the main directory;
Notice: If you installed the previous version of the mod (from 2.0 to 2.3) please delete "RPMGauge.net.dll" and "RPMGauge.ini" files

 

How to set the mod
You can add the turbo (with sound and gauge) to all the vehicles. You have to open the .ini and add then name of the vehicle and "=True" under the "[TURBO] line".
You can also deactivate the gauges, select the KPH or MPH and activate or deactivate the Semi-Transparency into the [SETTINGS] section.
At last, in the [KEYS] section, you can set the keys used in game.
 

ChangeLog

V. 2.4:

  • Better textures;
  • the turbine and the Gear Box work better;
  • some screen resolution are fixed;
  • joypad working.

V. 2.3:

  • Added three userful indicators. The first shows the engine damages, the second the tires damage and the 
    third the turbo damage. If the third is active, the turbine won't work;
  • Fixed the turbo sound, know it's a bit better.

V. 2.2:

  • Added the possibility to activate the Semi-Transparency like in NFS:Shift

V. 2.1:

  • Added the possibility to deactivate the gauges;
  • Added a digital speedometer (with MPH or KPH).

V. 2.0:

  • First relase.

@Lorenzo3024- When will you release the update version of GTA V style blips, proper size & placement of the square map border radar, the unique crosshairs for each weapon like GTA V? Kindly please upload those and then move to or start a new script or mod. :)

that version have a lot of bugs, then i have to work a lot on it. i think i'll relase the first version of this mod and then i'll relase the update of the V Style

new update, now the gear box on the tachometer is working (there are some bugs but i'll try to fix them). sorry for the bad screen, in the game it's better

new function, i added a turbine gauge (like in need for speed shift) for the sultanrs. also you can add the turbo (with gauge and sound) to any vehicles by the .ini. it has some bugs, but it works fine

if you are implementing a gauge meter I recommend to give the end user an option to change the position and width of that very just like Julio has given in his Max Payne script

You can pull the code from Github https://github.com/p...v-mods/tree/mvc, it's the mvc branch.

 

You can either use Git which I recommend, or can download the source as a ZIP file and develop on your on. I will take care of merging your work.

 

And yes, I will be sure you are on the developer list for that mod.

 

But the general idea was to implement script communication between, my script and yours.

That's OK, I will provide you a way to retrieve all necessary data from my script during runtime.

Awesome, however, for me the gear indicator doesn't work, nor does the turbo gauge thing. They stay at 1 and 0 respectively.

do you use a joypad? because at the moment you can't use it, but in the next version i'll add the joypad control

Putting it in main folder does not work, it does not appear in game at all

Guys i'm back! I'd like to relase some incomplete mods. I started from this. I created new gauges, i think they are better then the older. Then i'll fix all the bugs, like the Gear Box and the Turbine.

Hey, ive added this mod to my game. Although it works like it should i enjoy playing with a controller given that ive only ever did play on console. While using a controller your mod does not work correctly the turbo gauge and sound doesnt work or the gear box. any suggestions? other than use mouse and keyboard? Thanks!

The joypad doesn't work because i didn't enable it. But in the new version that i'll relase soon it work very good, almost better than the keyboard
