I am having a slightly similar feeling I had when playing IV- there's nothing to do other than missions. I know V does a better job at this than IV, but I can't help but to feel bored with nothing else cool to do. Other than pretty much just riding around, aimlessly.

Can we post our favorite pasttimes and unique, fun activities here?

I don't know of much on here yet, but there has to be a lot of cool stuff you could possibly do.

An example would be on GTA SA, I thought it was funny getting a passenger, driving to the top of mt. Chiliad, throwing a bunch of satchel charges on your car, then get in the car, go fast and bail out of the car as it is about to fly off the ramp on top of the mountain, while your passenger is still in the car! Then detonate the satchel charges while its falling, and watch the funny overkill as your "friend" takes a long fall and gets blown up at the same tIme. Lmao. (A lot of CJs girlfriends met their doom this way).

Haven't tried this yet in V.

Anyone else have anything?

A thing I like to do is throw tear gas through the back door of Michael's house into the dining room whilst his family is at the table. I just find it funny how they just fall out their chairs

@above: I will have to try that. Lol.

And I don't see why we shouldn't post in thIs topic instead, the link that Tiger posted isn't on the Gameplay board (as far as I can tell). And I was kind of expecting more than two pages on a topic like this. Lol is the game really that boring?

Try taking Amanda's car as Trevor or Franklin. Or just listen into peoples phone calls, random comments or radio ads. I've completed the game but got more entertainment from random events. I remember on Saints Row 2 whilst in cut scene Jane Valderama said someone is causing chaos and in the background 2 cars crashed into each other. After playing it again I found this wasn't part of the cut scene. It's things like this that make games entertaining for me above all else.

Not too good with names sometimes, who is Amanda?

And @ Tiger : thx again

And I think GTA should have borrowed a page from Saints Row's book when it comes to activities. I mean yoga? How about less of the lame stuff and more stuff like : tank/heli assault, vigilante, demolition derby, mayhem, "pimping missions" (lol), An operation-repo type activity would be GOLD!. Also they should have put paramedic and firefighter missions, those would be way more intense than "taxi driver" lol.

Honestly I expected way more in the extracurricular activities department from R* this game around.. seeing how GTA IV was severely lacking in this area, and it made SR2 look like sandbox GOLD compared to GTAIV (Imo).

Maybe R* didn't feel the need to compete with SR4 going all "alien".

But there is A LOT of wasted potential here, seeing how GTAV has more stuff in it than any SR ever did, R* just didn't use everything to its greatest potential.

An update with more activites is needed more than anything else, in my opinion.

Amanda is Michael's wife and have you noticed the random cars in Michaels drive on GTA Online

Thanks. But no I haven't. Havent played too much GTAO, Im lIke, lvl 16 I thInk. Would like to, but I don't have Xbl gold right now.

And maybe I might have complained a little too much in my post, because I forgot about how much R* focused on Online, they did a superb job on that. But it would have been nice to add some more activities for those of us without Online. If was playing Online I would not be complaning of boredom haha.

Call a taxi.

Put a marker on top of a mountain and hit the button to skip the drive.

When you get to the location, get back into the taxi and tell him to drive to a different location.

Press the button to make the driver hurry up and see if he can stay on the road without driving off of the mountain.

When I finished the story missions I turned off my PS3, got up and had a long, hard look at myself in the mirror. Then I went to the park and lay in the sunshine, feeling entirely content with the state of the world and my place within it.

Here's what I find to be hilarious-
-play as Franklin, wearing the "goon" outfit,
-then walk around the hood, hitting right d-pad, to talk to everybody u see.
- do this enough and Franklin will say,
"Was hanin!?", and once he says that, blast on the npc, or knock em out, then take off running. LOL
