For making $60+ Million from cash cards alone they sure aren't doing a lot to follow through making this a continually evolving game..

Its been over a month since they've released anything and when they do it's just a few new cars.. nothing that really adds to the game itself.

Scuba gear and animals are a must even though it's just stuff that's already in SP. Maybe clean up the shooting mechanics to encourage more freeaimers.. add a manual transmission option for the more die-hard racers online. Maybe give us more options with car tuning so instead of just racing a bunch of cars with max performance mods people who actually know their sh*t will have a larger advantage with gear ratios, camber ect. Also goals above level 120 would be nice.

ffs you think with that many millions of dollars they could pump out useful content a little faster than once every 4+ weeks that's more than just 2 cars that cause ten new bugs and glitches.

putting better aim mechanics in the game would be literally changing a deeply inlaid game mechanic. thats major surgery youre talking about there.

as for the racing stuff. go play a racing game if you want all of that.

Only thing I'm getting bored of is going on a "random" contact mission to find RR or people that die constantly on the simplest of jobs that need more than one person.

I played GTAO with the promise of being able to do heists and for expansive content. So far all we've gotten is clothing, weapons and cars... oh and that one jet...

So, yeah, the online mode is getting pretty boring. There are tons of good ideas on the forums here I don't know why Rockstar isn't listening to them. They know about these forums all they would need to do is spend a few days going through these threads, finding the ones that are highly rated and praised and then implementing them into the online mode.

The really sad part is most of the content/clothing/etc is already available in the single player mode. Why they can't move it over to GTAO is beyond me. It's all stuff that should have been available at launch.

The challenge of getting all the Platinum Awards keeps things going for me.  Although the Weapon ones are starting to become a chore.  I still like to host missions such as Titan of a Job, and see how low level Randoms fly the Titan.  Can be interesting at times.

Im in a fantastic crew so life is good. If I wasnt I would probably be playing something else right now and dipping into GTAV once a new update comes out for a bit.

Yes.

Only because my crew made a huge stink about the fact I didn't play with them, then when I started to join them online.......they went back to another game.

With a good crew and/or some good friends, it's a completely different story.

I haven't played the game for more than 10 minutes in the past month and a half. I had renew interest when they brought in new cars, but new cars aren't going to make the missions aka mini games more fun. I have no idea how I even played the game this long to be honest, it's a bunch of mini-games and sidequest.

IMO, GTAO is nothing but an unrewarding grind. The only thing that keeps this game alive for me is my crew members as possibilities for fun with them are endless.

This game is so repetitive. All I find myself doing is driving around seeing what people are up too. Nothing else to explore, no where to enter, lack of customization. Any ideas what I can do? And does anyone else feel this way?

OP if you are a true RPGer at heart, then the only solution is to return to Skyrim (assuming you're playing on the PC).  820 hours and counting btw.

all  thanks to a completely immersive world. Where 100% of the buildings have unique enterable interiors.  And a sh*t load of items inside and outside them with which your character can interact to improve their skills, armor, weapons.  Or the fact that your character can roleplay a humble farmer with 6 kids & a wife.  And raise crops and live stock by day, then transform into a werewolf, vampire, Theif or Assassin Guildmaster by night.

To date, no such role playing flexibility exists in GTA or V, the way it did back in SA (and GTA IV to a more limited extent). GTAO is all about developing combat skills.  Yet my char still can't

1. use any gym equipment or work out at the muscle beach FFS.

2. take time off from being a hit man to go on a gambling spree in a casino. Or

3. speculate and make money by playing the defunct stock market.  Or

4. take a weekend to go on a hunting and camping expedition at Mt. Chillad. Or

5. entertain friends on a deep sea cruise on his $$$$$ yacht--let alone access it's interior to sleep.  Or

6. scuba dive for fun or treasure/collectibles.  Or

7. chill at the beach and harass the peds with his pet Rottie. Or train his dog to steal the female peds bikinis  Or

8. buy hot dogs. why??? wtf??? Why aren't hot dog vendors available while doing missions btw? Why cut this feature from GTA IV??? Or

9. Buying drugs from Smoke on the Water, or random peds who are drug dealers like back in SA.  Or

10. hang out at the pier and play aracade games Bully carnival style.  Or ride ALL the amusement park rides.  Or

11. be able to meet peds on Life Invader and then take them on a date---except no nightlife other than the strip joint really exists

The list is endless.  But this is the SA style level of sand box interactivity I expected to experience when the game shipped last year.

FACT: Repetition would be greatly reduced if the game world was truly the fully interactive, immersive sandbox it was hyped to be.

IMO, SP and GTAO might have lived up to the hype if R* took the time to provide more IN DEPTH DLC.  Similar to the way player mods have kept Skyrim alive to date.  Because calling the release of 2-3 supers and some new clothing DLC is bullsh*t IMO.  R* really needs to take some pages out of Bethesda's playbook.  Because mods on Steam and Nexus have basically reinvented, overhauled and extended the shelf life of Skyrim. Mods like Frostfall, Civil War Overhaul, Better Dragons, many hunting mods etc, have added hundreds of extra game hours in new quests, skills, NPCs and other game content.  They've added new locations to explore to even complete professional looking DLC worlds like Falskaar.

The ongoing lack of an imersive sandbox world is what is killing V and GTAO IMO.  People are finally waking up to the fact all the crap that R* has put out so far has been completely superficial bullsh*t

Anyhoo, if you're not a Skyrim fanboy or lack a PC, then there is always the same repetitive K/D glory of CoD

However, your post might be an indicator you need to change the way you're currently doing things.  A real world DOES actually exist outside your gaming console as well you know. So you might want to consider taking up real life activities like playing soccer or football with friends--basically doing the real life equivalent of what your char does (like golfing and skydiving in the game)

it's boring. like everything's so stale and when they add content it's not substantial or just doesn't add anything to the game. capture mode for example. dude who gives a sh*t it's just more crappy deathmatch style game modes that nobody even plays. it doesn't help that the new customization options are mostly palette swaps so yeah this game, at this point, blows something hella fierce.

Im sorry but what the hell did that have to do with GTA? Also Skyrim's combat sucks major nads. Moddings impressive yeah but it aint fun if the combat includes flailing around a sword or a mace like a total goober. That's what killed that game for me, the gameplay. Mods at this point just makes it eyecandy, the gameplays too shallow (kinda like GTAs). W/e my opinion.

You've completely missed my point.  IT'S ABOUT THE LACK OF INTERACTIVITY AND SANDBOX GAMEPLAY OPTIONS WHICH IS KILLING GTAO.

Skyrim was an example of how R* should have considered their approach in how they added quality DLC to the game.

To date, Skyrim has long outlived it's shelf life which Bethesda envisioned. Because of the continuous access the fanbase has for modded content (aka FREE DLC) which has kept the game fresh and interesting.

It's not about the quantity of DLC that you can get as a player, but the QUALITY. This is a concept R* is still struggling with comprehending when it comes to GTAO IMO. The last 2 DLC releases were completely superficial. And if you have the mentality of fanboys like scubadave, you'll repetitively play/use/acquire and buy all the new content in a matter of hours.  Which means you'll end up burning through all the new and superficial content by the end of the same game week.... :facedesk:

...and then end up posting about how much the game sucks and happens to be boring back on here

So much hype.

So much not winning GOTY.

R* must have been embarrassed and now they're moving on to RDR2 or something.

In that regard, I think that everybody who plays video games and spends time on a video game forum has a lot to answer for.  :p

But really, I'm hoping that Rockstar is working on a bunch more obscene gestures.  That's what keeps the game alive for me, just like in real life.  :colgate:

I gave up on missions, even Rooftop Rumble long ago. The pay is not worth my time. Now all I do is cruise around in my cars and listen to the Radio and explore the map. If I run short on cash for something like an upgrade or ammo, I sell one of my cars.

I just switched back to Traditional GTA lobbies.. I gotta say it's refreshing to have full races/jobs again! Both of my characters are 110, so I don't see myself going back to Free-Aim unless I want to get some Deathmatch and Capture games started up. They really need to give us the option to switch without going back to SP.

Anyway... Any games you found yourself playing again??

I just started playing Halo Reach, Fallout 3 and New Vegas again... can't believe they're still addicting after all of these years. :O

Game mainly needs a lot more actual new missions (around 20-30)  all the way from level 3 to level 120 (not races, deathmatches, etc).

Also, maybe more mod options on the current vehicles we already have. Many vehicles already have options that already exist via save editor, but which can't be altered in LSC. They could unlock those for a start..

Plus a revamped "passive mode".. Just have a toggle between "Hostile" and "Co-op" (on a timer to prevent abuse). While hostile you can harm and be harmed by other hostiles, and while co-op, you can't attack/harm or be attacked/harmed by the actions of other players.

A new player blip system on the radar/map would also be nice.

At the end of the day though, it's a free game, so any updates at all are more than welcome.

I recently went online and noticed some players were on there that i had previously met. They asked if I wanted to do some activities and instead of a variety they just proceeded to play Rooftop Rumble, again, and again, and again. Needless to say I backed out. I would have to say, the game needs more content, more interiors and activities imo.

The game is what you make it but for the most part we need more things to do, something fresh. Not just cars & clothes because that really doesn't make a difference even if its free.

Like some said Skyrim is perfect when it comes to longevity & replay value you would like to see in a game, I still play & the crazy thing is I'm not playing on PC. Same thing goes for Fallout. Hopefully R* will implement things that will keep the online going for years because honestly I'm just waiting for Destiny to come out.

Yeah, R* really could do with reviewing the $ and RP payouts of some missions relative to their difficulty and time to complete.

I turn the radio off. I know it seems asinine but not hearing the same repeating events on the radio every five minutes is a nice change. As always if you feel your interest fading go back and play older/new games for a week or so and come back. This wont work forever but it should do the trick in prolonging the game.

No, payout should be level based. High level players have higher expenses so every mission should have substantial pay-out for high level players (no less than 10k a job, no more of this 4-7k bullsh*t). Cap the increase at level 120 and then have it plateau out.
