I just started playing GTA V again last week after taking a break from it, and decided this time to experiment with Script Hook V + Native Trainer since I only play single player (for now). It's a lot of fun, and since I already finished the game once before I decided to do it again this time with some messing around. Today Steam graced my copy of GTA V with the latest patch and lo and behold, the version of Script Hook V I have no longer works. I did some reading and apparently this is bad news. I also checked to see how long it took Alexander Blade to update it the last time there was a patch, and it was over 2 weeks. I'm not complaining, I realise this gentleman does this for fun so I understand that it has to be in his own time, and I'm very grateful for his efforts.
Anyway, I guess I'm looking for a workaround. I missed the heads up to back up my game files (won't make that mistake again) and wondered if such a place exists where people who fall into this trap can download the most recent version prior to the update. From what I understand you only need GTA5.exe, GTAVLauncher.exe, update/update.rpf and steam_api64.dll. Is there a place where these can be downloaded so I can roll back to the version of the game I had yesterday? If not, is there any reason why GTA V fans alike don't pool together and organise something like this? I'm sure there are plenty of folks with decent upstream bandwidth that would be happy to upload the files. I would be happy to stick them on a VPS myself, but of course that doesn't solve my problem right now.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. The thought of waiting another 2 weeks to play without Native Trainer sucks. I might be forced to break down and play Online
