"As around the Sun, the Earth knows she's revolving

And the rosebuds know to bloom in early May

Just as hate knows love's the cure, you can rest your mind assure

That I'll be loving you always."

This song has an atmosphere of blissful tranquility. It's simply a masterpiece. One of the best songs from what is quite possibly one of the best albums in music history, at least in my opinion. There will never be another like Stevie Wonder.

That's because he sucks.

Just kidding, but I still hate his music though.

Wow. Never thought I'd meet anyone who genuinely disliked Stevie Wonder's music. To each their own, I suppose.

Maybe you'd prefer the cover by Sister Sledge. :D Both versions are a good time in my book.

Just my opinion, it's ironic because I grew up listening to the sound of Motown, and don't have a good reason to despise him.

Don't like Sister Sledge either tbh, good God, I need to stop being picky. :p

Sylvia Robinson (née Vanderpool; March 6, 1936 – September 29, 2011) was an American singer, musician, record producer, and record label executive.

She was best known for her work as founder/CEO of the hip hop label Sugar Hill Records. She is credited as the driving force behind two landmark singles in the genre; "Rapper's Delight" by the Sugarhill Gang and "The Message" by Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five.

I do have many records of the Sugar Hill label and was always surprised to read the name Sylvia on the labels. Just knowing that a woman did produce, wrote and performed in some rap songs in the 70's and 80's is amazing. Best is that the above mentioned rap songs have become a huge commercial success and they introduced rap music to the mainstream all around the world. I heard about her passing in 2011 but never really took the time to do some more research about this woman people call the godmother of hip hop. It has changed since today.

Please enjoy these two songs and don't hesitate to check more about her if you're curious to know about her story.

This was her top 3 billboard hit back in 1973

Mickey Baker and Sylvia Vanderpool Robinson where an American R&B duo from the 1950's and 1960's.

They scored the top 20 with Love Is Strange, in November of 1956.

Now that you have mentioned it, it could have been one of his composition. The singers voice rinds me of Stevie on this song. It's a really beautiful track and I almost forgot about it. I first heard it on an old radio recording from when the song was first played in The Netherlands on the Ferry Maat Soul Show. Fat Larry's Band is known to me trough GTA Vice City on Fever 105 IIRC. Man so many great modern soul and disco funk tracks. I discovered a lot of great funk bands and artists that I'm glad to have today on my vinyl collection. The Mary Jane Girls, Teena Marie, Mtume, The Dazz Band, The Whispers, Renee & Angela, Rick James and many others. At the time I could only have dreamed to one day own their vinyl records. Once I have listened to them on vinyl, mp3's were never the same again.
