@Oh No...thanks for showing love to Curtis Mayfield. To me, he doesn't get the credit he's due. Mayfield was musical genius, and "Superfly" is my favorite movie soundtrack of all time. Even better than "Purple Rain".

no problem man, and you are right.hes rarely mentioned before names like marvin and teddy..but he hit emotions that were unmatched imo

This definitely borders on soul and funk but it's damn good. Recently ran across it on a mix from Resident Advisor. I haven't been able to track much else from Poncho C. Saint Fingers. To be honest, I find the lack of production charming.

I first heard this track 5 or more years ago. It was on an auction on "the E bay" and it seemed to be very in demand for years as it reached bids around $300 and $500. I've seen 1980's funk boogie records that are very hard ho find, still today, reach twice those prices. That's insane if you ask me.
