What video game "journalism" websites would you guys recommend? I know Kotaku is heavily biased and off topic at times, a lot of websites accept money for better reviews, and /v/ just tells you why your game is terrible. Are there any reliable game news websites?
Best video game news site?

It really depends on what kind of information you're looking for (development, tech, games themselves, or a combination), and whether or not you prefer a community based news site or just the articles/videos.
When I want to check up on a game or series, I'll look for a dedicated site or forum for it first, then maybe look for a subsection on somewhere like Reddit or Gamespot (yeah yeah, I know...) If I'm just looking for general updates, I find that most of the mainstream sites are more or less interchangable, so I usually just go to Metacritic and randomly click on a bunch of the "see the full review" links. Obviously that doesn't work with to-be-released material though.
A few other genre-specific places are worth keeping an eye on too, since they tend to catch stuff that flies under the mainstream's radar.. RPGCodex has some really good reviews and recommendations, but unfortunately it's even more of a fedora haven than /v/.

Any site owned by Gawker media is automatically marked as a "no-go" for me. All their sites are filled with poorly written clickbait IMO.

Honestly I get my info from GameSpot.com, IGN, Kotaku
Basically the same.

I've like all the major gaming pages on Facebook so I just get all the news there.
