..

You do know thats not the same thing...right?

The actual in game GTA composers have nothing to do with R* paying record companies  'money'  to use their songs.

So.... thats why.

Also, the game's score (For missions etc) is in need of updating more than the radio stations are. It's a very limited section at present, so it is welcome IMO

God damn, some of you guys are acting like f*cking spoiled 5 year old children.

We have a whole month ahead of us and you think that all R* has planned is a music score update? Maybe you should get off the internet for a while and re-evaluate yourselves.

The difference is the difference. Just sayin'.

R* needs to pay ALOT of money to get the rights to music to add to stations.  Paying their in game composer to add more flavor to the in game score is NOT the same damn thing.

You are bitching about apples and oranges.

Its just as insane as going.. "Music no Heists... waaaaaahhhh??"

This forum is designed for discussion on the gta series. Simply taking part in it. I haven't played gtao or v in weeks because of the freeze ups, and I'm not likely to anytime soon... was gonna give it a go after 1.12 to see if its fixed but eh the more time goes on the less Icare. However I do care when someone tries to make me look stupid so billy bollocks ham sandwich to you sir. (Misplaced irony is my favourite hobby)
You only need to re eevaluate your life if you're not getting your dick polished as far as I'm concerned

already said I know its not the same thing but it don't change the fact the radio stations are deadly boring and listened to more than the score (on avg. I would say thats true) just makes no sense to me at all. So what if they need to buy another pro license they are only about 1000 a song and with the money theyve earned and their desire to keep gtao going for as long as possible im sure its plausible to want station music more than score. Just seems they take all the wrong steps and end up tripping over themselves.

One of my favorite things about GTA V is the music score. Still after almost a year of playing, I manage to get goosebumps when an unexpected pursuit followed by an intense police shootout is narrated by a slowly intensifying musical score. Im glad they are adding more musical scores. I know its not heists, but that doesnt make it any less awesome to have.

It's that awesome because Alchemist scored GTAV entirely.

Im just gonna lay it out there.

But i doubt R* will add any new RADIO songs till a paid DLC is released.  Kind of like how Gay Tony and the Lost DLC for GTA 4 worked.

Might be in the minority here, but I actually worry that the new stuff isn't going to be quite as good as the current incidental music - by default, I actually turn off the radio and just go with either no music or the original score, because it's more atmospheric.

There's one track in particular that sounds like it's straight out of 'Crackdown' - which, considering that game is one of my favourite sandbox games ever (and curiously enough, created by original GTA dev. David Jones), is no bad thing at all.

We'll see - I'll remain 'cautiously optimistic' for now... Although I'd kill for a decent Jazz radio station, like GTA IV had (Count Basie? Art Blakey? Sonny Rollins? Roy Haynes as DJ? You've got to be s***ing me!!) - just lift all the tunes from the 'Wolf of Wall Street' soundtrack ('Mercy, Mercy, Mercy' and 'Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting' - fackeen oresum), and job's a good'un.

Getting the North Yankton Memories score during a police chase >>>

I do get tired of listening to the same scores during jobs though, so this is something I don't really mind. Anything is welcome at this point...

what is this myth about games crashing every 20 minutes? I have not had the game crash on me once, and I've been playing it the entire time.

did I never notice before or is that ominous score playing when I get in a helicopter in free roam new?

I thought it was just in missions, and wish it was optional to turn off.

like why so serious, wctr breaks the tension

That score has always been there. I never thought of it as ominous though. Haha, I wish we had the option to make specific scores play with certain moments we're doing in-game though.

There aren't really any good poll answers, considering all you do is bash R*.  I guarantee that if this game was made by activision, you would ask "Why do we have to pay for DLC's?, When is the first car pack coming out?"  Just let R* do their thing already.  You think it's easy to program a game?  I tried it before, and I can tell you that it's extremely difficult.  Plus, R* have to get it finished in around 2 weeks give or take.  Puts a lot of stress on them.
