Mission creator would save this game.

I honestly think that the ability to make your own custom missions would make this game so much better. If they can make it so you can create a death match, why not missions? Does anyone have any good ideas for custom missions?

Go to Jack. Kill Jack and steal his smack(herion). Drop the smack off...... but wait it's a setup. Shoot hundreds of people then jag up as a way of coping with the fact your a mass murder on an international level. This has been in the thinktank for a while now. Gonna make it as realistic as possible - black town cars, glocks, uzis etc

I kinda wish some missions were more epic but with extra lives.

 

More complicated missions with just 2 team lives would be kinda bogus.

 

That said I'd devote a lot of time to making badass missions if I could but you know in the end Rockstar Verified ones would be all "Tank Jump Lazer LOLZ WOW!"

Zombie survival ! :p

Making a classic survival but ennemies with the zombie skin if possible and only melee weapons or no weapons. And lot of them !

Too true mate Rockstar doesn't verify stuff unless they invole tanks(private ryan) or lag(prison thugs)

If the current content creator didnt help your issue it is doubtful that mission creator will.

Personally I don't think the gameneeds saving.

What exactly is so desirable about being able to create your own version of "go fetch", where you use the auto-aim on your buzzard to obliterate 20-30 sitting duck, mindless npc's.

Seriously if you let the npc's kill you in any mission, the keyword being "LET".......you are just being sloppy.

Thanks for the input guys. Seems overall people dont think a mission creator would be that great. I was just thinking that now that we have a deathmatch and capture creator, a mission creator would be a nice addition.

I think it's a great idea. Not a fan of any of the other modes, but my friends and I have done basically every mission available at our levels, so being able to create a few of our own would be amazing. We copied Rooster Teeth's "made up heist" idea last week and had a blast. It would be great to design the same thing, save it, and have it actually pay out decently.

It sure would great. Saying it would save the game is a bit too much IMO, since it's already an awesome, yet not perfect game.

 

However, if it ever comes live, I'm not sure we'd have enough options to make created jobs worth it.

Exactly. I'm still having fun online, but it does get boring playing the same missions over and over again (there are tons of missions, but not many that I find enjoyable AND have a decent payout).

Mission creators cool but hopefully the Capture Creator will do, it's basically a mission but better cos the teams are all fighting against each other which is always better than NPCs. Mission creator will be sweet but I get totally what some people are saying - It's always better to kill a real live player rather than hordes of NPCs that are too easy and predictable even at their hardest.

Honestly, I think a Survival Creator would rock. Fighting off Cops at the Prison, Trannies in front of the Gay Bar. I'd even make one with convenience store clerks with heavy weapons on Mt. Chiliad.

It's been said in other threads, and I buy the argument, that a Mission Creator would be the last mode to get rolled out because it is the most complex to implement in an easy to use editor for the masses.  Buy rolling out other editors first it allows them to test how the public is using the editor, both from a bug related concern, but also seeing the usability of the editor.  They can also use the existing components that they know work well to add into the later editors.  Capture Creator will add some basic item pickup and drop-off triggering and specific win conditions that will be useful in a later Mission editor.  Next I'd image they would release a Survival Creator which would add NPC triggering and perhaps some basic AI directions.  Once those components are out there and they have seen how the public is responding then they could build off of those existing triggering and AI components and build it up further into a Mission Creator.

 

As for how I feel, I'd love to see a Mission Creator.  My friends and I mostly playing in invitation only games, playing missions or racing against each other.  One of the biggest challenges we have is that there are eight of us and so there are no co-op missions we can all join in on where we are all on the same team.  If a Mission Creator allowed for the design of eight player co-op missions then we'd be in heaven, but at least it ought to lets us made scores of six player missions.

 

I suppose I'm the opposite of TheMcKeever, in that I really enjoy wading through hordes of less than smart AI compared to human opponents.  I'm not really coming to games for intense challenges, rather I want the catharsis of being "the One" who churns through mooks on my way to my destiny of greatness.  It's not about questing whether I'll succeed, instead it's more of a puzzle to figure out how I'll succeed.  A Mission Creator would help delivery that experience to me again and again.

 

As for ideas, one of the first things I'd do is just recreate existing missions and then up the player count to six or eight, but also tweak the missions more.  Titan of a Job is a mission with a really boring ending.  You should up the guys in the hangar and then take off for a five minute ride in the Titan with the final goal merely to land the plane.  I'd remake the mission but make the landing of the plane another gun battle, with helicopters harassing the Titan along the way and/or bad guys waiting at the airfield.

Wow did this thread took a turn in a different direction. Thanks guys for more positive feedback. I also think making a custom mission where 8 players could work as a team would be sick. I think i would want to work as 4 man squads. Thanks to echoota for the extensive post that was a good read amd made a lot of sense.

there are some mission creator features in capture creator, you can play around with npcs or actors and have them protect you against waves of police or start a mini gang war by setting half to hostile and half to friendly, trust me it's really fun and the more imaginative you are the better your missions, it's honestly possible to create almost any type of mission right now only downside is you can't switch god mode off but other than that just give it a go and you should do okay till' mission creator is out, i forsee it happening real soon, technically you can make gang attacks, heists, and survivals as the npcs can respawn infinitevely

The mission creator would be perfect for me im am a hardcore GTA III fan and it would be soooooo cool to recreaye the story and payphone missions there in LS. It would take a lot of work though.

I want a mission creator bad, it wouldn't "save" GTA Online, but I feel that a dedicated group of people would be able to have a lot more fun in GTA Online with it.

That being said, I like the promise that the Capture Creator shows, but the fact that I can't create a GTA capture mode that involves hauling a trailer on a truck really disappoints me.  I figured that some sort of Smokey and the Bandit capture mission would be like the first mission they thought people would create for capture mode.

 

I'd really really want a mission creator to be a lot more open than the creators have been so far.

It wouldn't save GTA 5 overall but it would help in pleasing the online fan base, I already like the CC testing as is but I wish you could toggle invincibility off or be given a set of lives as you're testing your creation and should be able to have the actors(NPC) fill in for human players otherwise it's just A debug mode.
