I was actually hoping for a Chinatown in GTA V. Los Angeles has one, so why shouldn't Los Santos? I believe it was a missed opportunity. The Cheng Triad could've spawned there and I think that R* could've made a Chinatown section with neon at night and an immerse crowd that would roam the streets, along with packed traffic, much like the LA Chinatown. Rockstar did the Chinatown theme very nicely in IV, so why was it left out in V? I don't even know what to think R* was thinking when they were making V anymore.

The most "china-related" thing in the game is the parody of the Chinese Theater

They do have a Koreatown, little seoul... Where there are Chinese gangsters as odd as it sounds. They probably didn't want to redo the chinatown theme because, as you said they already done it before, and they needed any additional space they could get for something new.

There wasn't a Chinatown in LS in GTA SA too. Maybe that is why they didn't put Chinatown in LS in GTA V.

Btw there was a CT in SF in GTA SA.

It's not very iconic compared to the ones in New York and SF, I didn't even know LA had one.

LA has a Korea Town, but not a ChinaTown. :)

China isn't in Korea and Korea isn't in China...

Or is it?

Nope, it isn't. No research, whatsoever, just logic.

There is no Chinatown because there is a Koreatown under the name of Little Soul where Korean people reside, Korean inmigrants/residents/whatever have a stronger presence than chinese ones if I am right.

Koreans have a big presence in Central Los Angeles only (where Koreatown is located). Chinese and Filipinos are by far the largest Asian groups in LA. The Chinese practically dominate the San Gabriel Valley, just east of Los Angeles.

DLC? How are they going to add a whole new section to the city? I could see a triad type gang taking over parts downtown, and making a storyline out of that, but just a new neighborhood appearing out of thin air is ludicrous! Not to mention the massive technical headache that would be on an already buggy game.

Pre order cancelled.

I honestly couldn't care about China town and Asian gangsters.

I know they have been in previous gta's but it never interested me.

"GTA Chinatown Wars" is the only GTA game I don't own.
